This is for women who use tampons, pads are also included but not as serious as tampons.
Did you know that the tampon makers include asbestos in tampons?Why you ask? Because asbestos makes you bleed more and if you bleed more you will need more tampons.This isn't illegal b/c the powers to be with all there so called wisdom do not consider tampons as being ingested and therefore it isn't illegal or considered dangerous.
Tampons also contain two other potentially harmul things. First is rayon (for absorbency)and the second is dioxin ( a chemical used in the bleaching process). Tampon makers believe we need bleached white products so we can feel pure and clean.
Dioxin is very harmful to women. It's potentially carcinogenic (cancer causing). It's toxic to the immune and reproductive system. As well as being linked to endometriosis and low sperm count for men. It breaks down the immune system in both men and women.
Rayon is harmful b/c it leaves small fibers left behind in the vagina. This is a breeding ground for dioxin. This is also a reason why TSS ( toxic shock syndrom) occurs. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) reported that there is no set "acceptable" level of exposure to dioxin given that it is cumulative and slow to disintegrate. The real danger is from repeated contact and wouldn't ya say 3-5 x's a day, 4-7 days,and 35 years is repeated contact.
Organic Essentials 800-765-6491 and Terra Femme 800-755-0212 make all cotton unbleached tampons and pads. There is also another brand at WholeFoods( if you have this store in your area) but I can't remember the name. Most "natural" stores have these in stock.
If you use these you will also notice that you flow will be more like 2-3 days rather than 5-7. Remember asbestos.

We all have opinions and can believe whatever we choose. Putting chemicals in our bodies is something I choose not to do. Everyday people are getting diagonsed with cancer, lupus, althiemers and we are all wondering how we can stop this from happening to us. The answers are so simple.
