Its seems that a source unknown to me, has complained to the Yahoo! administration that my email account was in violation of their agreement and being used in an "unethical manner". Which, very much suprised me since Yahoo! has "adult profiles", etc. My email and all its content were deleted today without warning or recourse of any kind. After getting a few lectures from close friends about "always having a back-up" I got over it and created a new email. It is as follows: [email protected]
If by chance you have contacted me recently thru my old email, please email me again at my new email because, I don't write anything down (heidi fleiss paranoia) and, I'm lost for contact info.
Good lesson for me today. I should've paid heed to my horoscope, damn it!

Unfortunately there are Self-Appointed, Self-Righteous #@!*&%$#!
out there who have taken it upon themselves to stop provider's from getting their message out.
This is a GREAT WARNING Carol, and something for ALL of us providers to think about - not just for EMAILS but also for FREE WEBSITES (and "unprofessional" websites) such as Geocities, Homestead, etc. I've taken steps to get a "Professionally designed Web Site and my own email.
I like my "Unprofessional" website because "I" control it. I can change photos, text and designs at my own whim. I dont have to pay extra to get it done or wait for days for simple changes. But it is not worth it to me when it can be shut down without warning because I am not abiding by their "puritanical" community standards. ![]()
I never thought of that scenario before - ANYONE can "Turn us in" (an angry client, a jealous competitor provider, etc.) and get our email or "free/unprofessional" website shut down. ![]()
Like I said, GOOD WARNING - Thank You Carol!
Virtually all ISPs provide you with decent website building tools so you can easily control it yourself. You don't need to have a "professional" site just to be in control. You just need a hosting company that doesn't care what you put on the website. Most of the "real" hosting companies don't care too much.
Also, it's very easy to put together a professional looking website using a tool like Adobe GoLive or Microsoft Frontpage. Both take virtually all the effort out of it, but give you a lot more capabilities than the tools you get with free websites. All you then need is the $10-15 per month hosting.
For better or worse, Yahoo and others like them can only really make money off "free" websites if nobody ever looks at them. Graphics-intensive pages like the ones most providers put together get way too many hits and chew up way too much bandwidth for them to really want them. They will kill them with any possible excuse. That's what you get for free.

in the world fill my inbox with unwanted junkmail. I can find porn just fine on my own without getting 20 emails a day.
Ditto, debt consolidation, earn a degree at home programs, weight loss, mortgage refinancing, and credit cards.
I find it very disturbing they would unilaterally take this action without first contacting you and discussing the "complaint."
Ok, it was bad enough that my email was deleted. I just finished changing most of my info on various boards/ads. NOW, my PAID website has been deleted as well. I found out who has complained and will be happy to give you this info if you'de like to email me. Basically (without using names) it seems to be a person who is miffed about personal ads that turn out to be "porno sites"....sheeeeeeesh! Even though I have a disclaimer on my site, it doesn't seem to matter to Yahoo or Allhell.
Anyway, my NEW website is:
www.carolofpalmsprings.allhell.com
Thanks.
Virtually all the free website and email providers will delete an account if they get a report that it is being used for illegal purposes.
There's a difference between putting up an "adult profile" and putting up a website or using an email in furthering activities that are illegal in all 50 states.
It's the unfortunate truth. When you get something for free they don't owe you anything.

It seems that America was built on hypocrisy. I recently took over running my own website and got a web host. The first thing I asked was if they had a problem with my site being adult. I didn't want to be canceled later. The cheap web hosting companies will pull your website down if they realize it is adult.
It must be horrible to get your e-mail account taken. The internet was built-up mostly by adult material, but people still don't like associationg with adult stuff unless it brings profits to the company or dot com. It just stinks.
They make their money by selling server space to people who they know won't use it, and for websites that they know won't generate adult traffic. That's why they're cheap.
"Adult" is usually just an excuse. Try putting up some other kind of rich-media or high-traffic site and they'll find another excuse. (Often they will use "copyright violations" as an excuse for bringing down other types of sites.)
The ISPs that charge the real costs of running the business are more expensive, but they don't care that you put up a high-traffic, high-graphics site. They're prepared for it. Their business model doesn't depend on selling you "services" that they expect you not to use.

All of a sudden a month or so later it DISAPPEARED. It was too bad...The response to my Ads was GREAT!
My .02 cents
I hate those free sites with pop ups and limited bandwith. Most ISPs will let you have several aliases which can be created and deleted at will find a reasonably priced adult webhosting company and get e-mail with it then create and delete aliases as needed to cut out the spammers.
Unfortunately it looks like your attempt to purchase VIP membership has failed due to your card being declined. Good news is that we have several other payment options that you could try.
