I sincerely thought that the Yanks would take this one, and said so right on here, in five games. I was so heartbrioken to see the Cubs and the Sox lose, that I prepared myself for another triumph of deep pockets.
That I could be surprised like this is one of those moments like I referred to in an earlier post today that make me love life. I am so happy to see Trader Jack McKeon (one of the best managers San Diego has ever had) get a pennant that it wouldn't have mattered who over. That it was over the Yanks, a team I despise more than any except the Lakers, just made my entire weekend.
Here's to the little guys! Congradulations, Marlins!
P.S. A last tip of the cap to The Rocket, Roger Clemens, one the greatest pitchers of all time, who is retired ow that this series is over.
Gotta hand it to you on that one! Nothing against the Yankees, but I was glad to see the Marlins take it whether 6 games or 7 games. I'm happy for McKeon...maybe the guy will finally get some recognition. The Reds never should have fired the guy.
