A rate by any other name....

Provider rates are often called "donations" and that seems to be the most common, but I also frequently see Horarium, Remuneration, Roses, Compensation, Rates, Consideration and probably a few others I can't immediately call to mind.   :-)

The fabulous BeBe Doll had a wonderful way of outlining her dollar amounts as pages of a book, which I thought was creative....   Another lady, whose name I can't recall, spoke of "lighting our encounter" with xxx amount of "candles".    I thought that was cute too.

What are some UNCOMMON or even UNIQUE terms you've seen?

When I was a nouveau heux on backpage, I used to write the donation as reasons.

For example:

One Hour/300 Reasons
Two Hours/500 Reasons

Most men understood what I meant and "reasons" sounded  a lot better than roses.

Dear Ms. Hollander,
Funny you discussed all of the ways we refer to currency and its quantity.  It is just another way to be subtle in communicating what you are thinking while not making it obvious for your good friends that wear a hue that is blue.  Although some might refer to you with a noun that rhymes with go, the lexicons that you use is directed at those who are in the know and conscious about their dough.

Since I hail from Spain....
Other terminology I frequently use throughout
 the site, is Spanish.
For "Donations", I use "Provisos",
which means in Latin, "Provisions".

Bebesitos,
