How old is too old to continue to provide?  I have one of those birthdays coming up and am wondering if the reason my business has dropped off so much is because others view me as too old?  I don't look my age at all, and although I am not skinny, I do have a nice curvy, womanly body (not BBW.)   I have always had excellent reviews in the past and a good rep but things have definitely changed.   I work very hard to be creative, honest and always exceed expectations.  Thoughts?

Are you sure you "don't look your age?" You say you have a "womanly" body and are not BBW. Are you sure? Whose opinion are you taking - other women? Clients?

You need an unbiased opinion of yourself. If all the things you said were true, your business would not have dropped off... As a client, I don't care about the age number, I care about how she looks and whether she turns me on.

But, it's hard to tell when they're being sarcastic, rude, or just generally crude.  You just asked a sincere and legitimate question, which one would hope would get the same type of answer.

There could be other factors, other than your age, such as the economy, changes in the demographics of the hobbyists in your area, etc. I personally know several ladies, in their sixties, that I would like to spend time with, and if they provided, I would definitely set a date. Not certain if there would be repeat visits, but I'd be opened to making at least one appointment. The other issue that's not clear, to me, is what you do to get repeat business.

I didn't see it as sarcastic or rude.  It was funny (and exaggerated, so maybe you can call it sarcastic) and certainly not meant as a slight toward you, in my opinion.
Perhaps your dull (or lack of) sense of humor and maybe your personality in general is why clients are staying away.  Don't take this as a personal attack...just an observation from your post.

Since you indicate you work very hard to be creative, honest and always exceed expectations your performance, attitude, demeanor and experience are probably not significant factor in the reason for the decline in you business.  That does leave age as one possible factor and it not surprising since according to a TER poll 70% of hobbyist prefers Providers younger than 30 years old.  How old is too old is when request for your services at the rate you willing accept for that service decreases to an unacceptable level for you.

Age alone is not the issue. It's what a given person finds attractive and that is subjective and varies from person to person.  Generally speaking; a fit person has a wider sphere of attraction than a non-fit person. If you're heavy or you've allowed your physique to decline over time, then fewer men will be attracted to you.  If you've published photos that are not current and accurate, you'll create unrealistic expectations and disappoint some clients. I'm not suggesting you've done any of this.  Just food for thought.

This statement sort of contradicts your notion it has NOTHING to do with age.  I suspect the average Hobbyist is 10-20 years older than the Provider they see. In addition with age hobbyist libido decline. The libido decline accelerates with increasing age and many exited the hobby or at least significantly reduce their participation. As a results baby boomer Providers will have reduce client pool interested in seeing them or at the very least the frequency of her baby boomer client visits will decline.

Tell that to this 44 yr's young busy schedule!  

BUT, my advice to this lady is "reinvent yourself."  

You don't have to change things entirely, just throw a twist into your look, your offerings, or your marketing.  

Believe me, it works.  There is a market for EVERYTHING,  you just have to figure out how to work it.

Yes there is a market for everything but the sizes of the different markets for everything are also very different and that is what matters.  Yes many senior Providers have figure it out by offering lower rates than the average and special services like BBBJ and Greek to increase their marketability and expand the pool size of interested hobbyist. Yet that also has it limits.

The answer may well be in the link provided. It would be referred to the Cougars and the Cubs who seek them out, as evidenced from the abundance of such dating sites springing up all over.

As I pointed out most of hobbyist appeared not to be youngins with median age in 40's.  Not the typical group interested in paying to seeing ladies 10 to 20 years their senior which would be their equivalent of a Cougar. Certainly their preference for Providers older than them is not as much their preference in seeing ladies 10 or 20 years younger than them. This is supported by a TER Poll in which 70% of hobbyist indicate a preference for  Provider younger than 30 years old. Your own behavior also demonstrate a strong preference for ladies younger than 40. Out of 47 Provider you have listed reviewed on , none were older than 45, 3 (6%) were between 41-45, 9 (19%) were between 36-40, 6 (13%) were between 31-35, 11 (23%) between 26-30, 15 (32%) were between 21-25, and 3(6%) were between 18-20

Finally it is important to note none of the links you cite involved Pay for Play and not cougar club were the sex is free.  How many youngins are willing to pay 200 to 400/hr to have sex with 45+ year old Provider?  You evidently are not willing! As I said before many graying Provider’s have lower rates to increase the pool size of hobbyist that would be interested in seeing them.

I have to agree with Bodercollie, Cougars might be getting laid in the Civvie world, but in the P4P arena, us baby boomer are by far the dominant force in the market, and most of us are interested in women younger than us, not older.

There certainly is a contingent that prefers the more mature ladies, but I would disagree that they are anywhere near the majority. Of course a man of 70, living on a fixed income, would find a more modestly priced 40 yr old who appriciated him, preferable to a 20 something, high priced hardbody who might look down her nose at him.

My rates may seem low to most of you, but for my area of the country, they are actually high.  And I don't have gray hair!  LOL

And youngens nowadays have high tech jobs and they can afford to pay.  Some more so than the older gents cause they were raised on the computer.  

Then there are the older gents who have the their own business and they don't want a 20 something, cause they would feel intimidated and they don't trust the younger ladies cause they are afraid of pimps, drug use,...et cetera.  (Not that I think or agree that all young ladies fall into that category by any means....)

And finally, the majority of my clients are NOT on TER.  So all the TER statistics are pretty meaningless for my market.  

And I don't delude myself to believe that my scenario is in the majority of the hobby, but don't discount a mature ladies worth, please!

I don't have studies or statistics, but I can honestly say that just in my life, I've seen an increase in younger gentleman visiting me in the past year or so.  My last date just left and he was 31.  A manager by trade and a date check member.

I would take a guess that lately the majority of gentleman callers have been in their 30's and early 40's.  

I've had older gentleman look me square in the eye and say, I am so glad to see a lady your age available.  I have been visiting with a 22 yr old girl and she's beautiful and nice, don't get me wrong; but it just made me feel wrong or bad.

I was wondering in what part of the country would you reside and if you have discussed this with other providers in your locale? Also another fair question is have you discussed this with other providers who happen to be in your age bracket also? There should be a professional development convention for escorts and one of the seminars that should be offered is how to market yourself at certain ages.  This would be critical and they should have certain providers come in who are successful but older to give certain tips and mentoring with respect to this. I am also wondering if you could go too Nevada and have an informational interview with an older worker who might work in the brothels to share her marketing secrets with you and see if there is anything to be learned with respect to that. I am sure that they have websites and other items that they would use to attract their customer base. Also I find that you are an intelligent woman. With this said use your customers, to find out what was the one thing that attracted you and other items that you can inquire about that made their experience with you a memorable one.  With these questionnaires and surveys this might start to give you a guide on what you can change or ameliorate to insure success in the twilight of your providing career.
