with the permission of my Best Friend, GaGambler, i would like to make a plea for
everyone to give to childrens charities
this year. whatever your choice, i'm sure,
would be fabulous. i have been on the phone
with a few recently and they have said that
contributions are down markedly.

can you imagine being a child with no present
to open on Christmas morning? a child w/o a
coat? maybe use the money you would use on
that one date this month and earmark it for
a childrens charity? if you can afford to
engage in p4p can't you please show a child
that they are loved and cared for?

I wonder how "beaver" became the name of a woman's outer vagina? I guess it's the hair, but there are other hairy animals.

Not only children, but their parents need help. Donating food at food banks will help struggling families survive these hard times.

I want to also agree with the OP, no kid should go through a season without knowing someone cared about them.

Contact Bruschi-gal on the Boston Board.  She does a stint for toys for tots and makes a donation to them if you see her.

(Sorry if this is shilling, but it's for a worthy cause.)

That explanation is about as good as any I've found so far. In my research, I did find out there were giant beavers--eight feet long!

One thing in almost all areas at Christmas is the angel tree-You pick a name off the tree, buy the gifts and turn them in to the proper place (usually salvation army).  You will give somebody that otherwise won't have Christmas a great one.  Giving to charity is good for the soul!

I offer a discount to gents who bring donations for my Toys-4-Tots Campaign & donations are definitely down this year. New or used, it doesn't matter. Children have small expectations & are happy just to see something special just for them.
