A memorable year...

Well here it is....2003 just hours away. I have my pajamas and remote ready to watch the festivities on TV. WooHoo.

I sat and thought about this last year with all the good, bad and ugly. Its been a rollercoaster ride for sure.

I got to start out 2002 with one of my favorite gents from Las Vegas. I knew it would be a banner year just from that experience. Thanks Dr.X, its a stroke of midnight I will always remember.

During the year I lost, regained and then lost the best friend I ever had. It was painful to be sure but a great lesson learned none the less. I battled cancer and I am still winning, I watched friends and loved ones grow and mature and reap the rewards of their lives and hard work. I met some absolutley incredible men as the months rolled on, finally made my new apartment a home, journeyed to the east Coast a couple of times, renewed old aqauintences and made new ones. The good memories would fill 10 scrap books.

I will always look back at 2002 as one of the most interesting years I have had in this business. I watched painfully what went on in Florida and shook my head at the many posts and comments made for and against the accused on here and many other message boards. I have had my share of drama and problems with my information being outed on the net and know all too well the pain some of those people went thru during the months of drama. But I am also very proud of the way it was all handled here.

And I think back fondly to those we have lost. Our wonderful Wheeler in St. Louis. A true gentleman and hobbiest with a zest for life and beautiful women that is unsurpassed. His knowledge and caring of those in this industry set a standard for some, who to this day use his name synonymously with class, style and wisdom.

But I often think of our Beloved Faye. She made us cringe, she made us laugh but most of all...she made us Think. It was Fayes great wish that we all be comfortable in our own skin and with who we are and what we wanted to accomplish, not just in our fantasies but our lives. She was our "Mother Earth" of the Escort Industry. It seems so hard to believe it has been almost a year since she slipped the bonds of this earth and found her peace and happiness elsewhere. I think of her so often and smile at how much better we are to have known her.

So it was not a financial windfall for me here...but damn the experiences made me a rich woman. Thank You everyone for the love and support. My best to those and their kind words for me when there were days I wondered if I could ever go another day. And I wish many blessings to those who were not so kind, because even those people need to find some solace and happiness in their lives.

I suspect 2003 will be just as interesting. They say we just get better as we get older....well I hope thats true.

Be safe tonight everyone, and remember to make this comming year the best we can. We have so many challenges ahead of us...but we all know there is strength in numbers.

Be Well....

"...but we all know there is strength in numbers."

But we all know that it was the making (and breaking) of those numbers that led to so many of the troubles you mentioned.  What an interesting wish - for people to have peace and happiness, when so many were doing just that.

So many people I have talked to this past year are giving and compassionate, yet they fall to the wayside in ruse and vapid ramblings of evildoers.  May those people claim and receive the strenth they have earned to become more discering in the aftermath of having their trust broken.

May the cutthroats meet Mother Karma this year and the peaceful have gratification in not having to watch since now they know from their newfound strenth to avoid where sleeping dogs lie.

Happy, Happy New Year to all those that pulled the knives out of their backs and healed their wounds.  May this be the year you thrive, prosper and live in contentment.

I had a year that will provide ample discussion on my rocker at the retirement home as well.

I'm glad we rang in the new year right last year together.  Many things have changed and many remained constant (as seems to be the case over time).  Last year started great (thanks to a wonderful Lass) and ended very interesting.

Here's to another eventful year.  Thanks to all of the wonderful people along the way; you know who you are (at least I hope you recognized that smile of contentment when you saw it).

Lass,
I have not yet met you, but on one of these Eastern visits of yours, or I may have to come to LV to see you!
But you have always had a nice post to read, and you site is classy, yet interspersed with succulent photos.
I wish I had not spent my turn of the years how I did, but with you.  Now thats something I KNOW I would always remember.
Happy New Year Sweetheart!

I do not fully know what you are referring to, but the part about pulling the knives out of their backs and healing their wounds, I can fully relate to.

Wishing you love and happiness for the new year.

Pretty much every professional girl not on the Strip was in attendance; dancers, porn stars, escorts-except you and NOSC, of course! Pajamas and remote at 11pm? Getting to be like me!

Very thoughtful post in many regards,, very un-Vegas like, I must say.

Take care...

There is no doubt that you are one of the "cream of the crop" ladies that makes this business what it is. A connection with you special ladies can make up for a lot of the problems that often are enountered in this hobby. Bless you for what you do.

Those of us in Portland OR, lost one of our special ladies last week when Bella moved back to North Carolina. For 4 years, Bella brought cohesion, support and enjoyment to both hobbyists and providers in our area. She will be sorely missed. I know there are others like her out there, I hope I get to meet them all some day.

Have a wonderful 2003.

I'm thankful for the friends I've got, the weird world we live in today and the sanity I hold onto but not too hard...

There was some pain and much pleasure in 2002. Of course Faye's loss was a tragedy. She was a trip and a half! My key memory of 2002, perhaps of a lifetime was a gift from my dear friend in this biz. She gave me the evening of a lifetime, you know... the one you take out in private moments and thank God to be alive. The only way it could have been better was if I was up on stage.... and later that came true... but I did not handle it properly.

On balance, 2002 is one that will be held onto as a good year. But maybe 2003 will be better still? Fun to think about.

Gratefully Yours,

Straightman

I too fooled with the remote on New Years Eve... Capitan Ron and Minority Report....

To say the least, my first year in the hobby turned out to be very fulfilling.

And if things go as planned and hoped for than 2003 should be a most wonderful year.

Very BigMuch!
