I think it is easy in this biz - on either side of the wallet - to lose sight of  our "higher" qualities.  I always appreciate the display of humor, intelligence, integrity, honesty, emotional maturity, creativity, etc...  as much as I appreciate the display of the D cup, shaven nether regions, alphabet soup buffet, etc.  I want it all, I want it all : )

- now can I get a discount?  lol - just kidding!

****some text missing. due to the fact I shouldn't of said it in the first place****

I want to ask the community an important question...

How do the guys feel about a lady who discounts a session in exchange for a review or has her first review written by someone known for offering to write a review for a discount?

Because is it not ultimately the ladies choice that compromises the integrity of TER to discount in lieu of the review?

I know if i went to a 5 star resturant and got the meal for less than market value I'm more likely to write a glowing review than if i paid full price...

It's suspicious, duplicious, pernicious...

Outrageous.

I prefer to know about it when I'm reading the review.  It's not a guarantee that the review will be biased, but I'd like to be able to judge for myself.  If the reviewer expresses his opinions in terms of "value received", obviously that will make a difference; however, if he says something like, "She blew me three times (including once in the hot tub), begged for Greek, gave me a phenomenonal back rub, and called her doubles partner in for a no-extra-charge threesome, all in exchange for me promising to write a review", then I'm probably going to understand if he gives the session a really high score no matter what.  I may doubt that the session actually took place as he describes it, but that's an entirely different issue.

To extend your restaurant analogy, if it's really and truly the best meal I've eaten in years, my excellent review shouldn't depend on the size of the bill.  It's only when a reviewer starts saying things like, "The entrees were tasty, and when the server gave me a HJ, they tasted even better" that I start to question the reviewer's objectivity.

That said, I don't have a major issue with a lady offering a discount to guys who see her ad at a particular site; it might be her understanding that people who see it there are more likely to write a review, which can be a handy promotional tool for increasing business, or for getting some visibility for a new provider.  I am not crazy about the idea of providers charging different rates to different people at the same time, but if that's the way they want to run their business, it's their prerogative to do so.  It can be confusing to see different rates in different places, especially if the lady is hard-nosed about "We never need to discuss donations, and doing so will automatically end our session"; if I bring you the donation that you deliberately posted somewhere (and I know some unscrupulous sites will rip off provder ads -- let's not get into that right now), then even if it's not what you thought was going to be in the envelope, I haven't intentionally shortchanged you.

I'd prefer to see a new (or new to the area) provider run an introductory special with a defined time frame, and ask that anyone who is willing to do so write a review.  Everyone would at least have an opportunity to know that the session had been discounted, and ideally the reviewer would mention it in his review.  While there will obviously always be a YMMV quality to your experience with any lady, it helps to know what has happened in the past, and what might happen in the future.

First let me say Lora you are smoking hot..

That said, if some provider wnats review s or needs reviews and is willing to barter for one I see that as capitalism at is basest form for the oldest profession.

Of course we do have the question of whether the review is accurate of honest.  If the review is not honest I think the market will eventually catch up to the provider and more honest reviews will prevail.

NOW, if you want a review from me I am available for a small fee!

I am not fishing for a review.  I know I provide a good service and the reviews will come in time. I was just curious as to what the community's opinion was of the ladies who engage and allow such things to go on which do compromise the integrity of the system.  something i refuse o play into if you read a previous post I wrote on the Las Vegas discussion board caught in a catch 22, you will soon discover I am the last lady who would ever discount anyone for a review. And in fact anyone who even hints or suggests something like to me gets placed on my personal DNS list and even if they offered me double my rates I would still decline to see them.  I have this problem called ethics and integrity.  I believe reviews should be earned not bartered for.

It is not unethical to discount for a review. It is unethical to discount for a dishonest review.

Food critics are not swayed by discounts either. Credibility in the review would come into question once someone else tasted the goods and found them to be less then on par with the rating given by the reviewer.

That is also something LegalEagle stated. If the hobbyist relies on the reviews and finds the review rating over inflated, the reviewer's credibility is trashed and possibly the provider if in fact she solicited an exaggerated review.

If a reviewer solicits a provider suggesting they would give a good review for a discount, don't take it as this person is not to be trusted since he offered a good review prior to evaluating the services.

It is also possible a reviewer might suggest this discount and when denied, post a fake unfavorable review. Again, the reviewer's rating would be matched to others and his credibility would be in question.

As for the personal DNS list, do you share this information? As most of the providers will insist no information is being collected on anyone other then unsafe, health concerns, or hobbyist who steel. Even suggesting publicly that you maintain (most hobbyist assume is done) information on a hobbyist for such minor character infractions is something many hobbyist consider unethical.

It is something most assume is done more often the not, but seldom ever discussed or posted publicly. If that is the only information you are keeping, then shame on those who are cheap when it gets taken from you and publicized by the media, LE, or an unscrupulous provider..

I can see where one might misconstrew what i wrote.  forgive me, let me clarify a bit. I do not store or share their personal info anywhere other than inside my head as a personal choice due to their behavior they're are put on my personal DNS list. Not publicly in anyway shape or form. I don't even store my guys phone numbers in my cell phone generally, rather a password protected, encrypted palm pilot just in case so that if anything were to happen the probability of any of their info being compromised becomes rather slim.

And Last time I checked ladies have a right to decline any request for whatever reason they decide. i.e. if I don't feel the right connection is there to preform to my current rating which is based on how others see me, then I will decline because I feel  it is a waste of time and money for both parties. is that a crime to actually care about providing a quality service instead of just turning and burning through guys????

You explanation did bring clarity and understanding to how you manage your information.

I have no argument with your rights nor do I feel I brought that into question beyond the observation and query I made into your personal DNS. I would hope you were not compelled in anyway to see anyone just to satisfy an income. It is not a crime to consider the value of such an intimate arrangement for both the client and yourself. Hobbyist would have to agree if a provider isn't able to feel a connection and find pleasure, it is very difficult to make it up as an actor in a theatrical performance, not impossible, just not something that can be pulled off where the hobbyist believes that you are enjoying it as much as he.

Because I'm not.  I'm a blend of PSE and GFE, but not a true either but something inbetween the two. I'm one of the ladies who's considered YMMV,  depending on the situation and connection made.  There are certain variables due to the intimate nature of any meeting. There is no steadfast straight across the board way that I handle everyone.  I'm very much a chamelion and go with the flow in the moment type of gal...

Just like the young lady in Vegas. If you are REAL your reviews will come. You are obviously not concerned with attracting new clients. I would suggest  that you have some of your regulars submit a review. At 1000hr to start  very few seasoned hobbyist are going to be willing to TOFTT.
just my .10cents

and become an attack on me and my rates??? which you obviously misread. All i was asking about was the community's  opinion about how they felt about ladies who batered in exchange for a review...

and you meant baRtering( i dont like to get my ass kicked) Now I just want to say that you are my favorite kind of woman to meet as My mileage has run high as a rule. Not trying to promote myself here just trying to make a point. That is : I love to bring toys, wine, sometimes strawberries and chocolate dip and sometimes a favorite CD (blues or some other music that inspires Hot passion) and I hope to make the time spent as much fun for both as possible. This is a date, buisness withstanding and I enjoy making the most of it....

I don't know what you want out of this thread but it's heading into some problems. Just my .02

I know that discounts for TER members are
allowed and have been offered.

What you suggest would appear to be a contradiction.

If you know that discounts for TER members are allowed, but are unable to cite a specific policy, anyone who accepts the discount would not be allowed to review - an oxymoron.

If you still don't get it by tommorrow, I'll post
an explanation.

Arbitrator2848 reads

I have read your post and still consider it a contradiction. And what you provided is a staff's policy for abusing the system. It is easy to understand why TER would ban the provider who made the offer of a free session for a good review (considering a “good” to be false or misleading), but a hobbyist for accepting such an offer and posting a false good review.

Still nothing you've presented explains  -

"I'm pretty sure that discounts for reviews is against TER policy - I know that discounts for TER members are allowed and have been offered"

Please explain.

Offering a blanket discount to all TER members
w/o the stipulation that they write reviews
seems to be ok.

I won't get into the specifics of enforcing these
rules because that could get complicated.

Staff's post specifically cited freebies in
exchange for reviews.  But that thread and others
implies discounts are off limits too.

Hope that helps.

Or offering any new information. It is your speculation and opinion - not fact, so no, it was of no help to resolve the discussion.

In the world I live in, those deals you suggest seldom have a basis of fact or evidence to prove a wrong, unless both parties have exchanged information amongst others, emailed, lacking intelligence enough to know better – it is speculation, conjecture, rumor, hearsay, and just as false as the reviews from a discounted or free session.

It is the specifics you don't get into here, and having cited only one instance of staff's policy when it comes to free services for a false review or otherwise, that tells me you don't really know.

It would help if you could bring out Staff to answer the question and be helpful in settling this discussion. Until then, it remains open to discussion and debate.

If the Lady suggests it, it's okay.

If the guy suggests it, it's harassment, unless the Lady accepts.

If the Lady reports it, whether she initially accepted or not, you're most likely in trouble either way.

Summary: Tree in the forest thing: No one hears it - It didn't happen.

It's only wrong if the gal decides it's wrong (before or after the event). Do what you want, but be careful the gal doesn't report you to "authorities" if she gets remorseful, or realizes a marketing brainstorm.

Arbitrator1318 reads

There is no policy cited for providers who offer discounts to or for honest, legitimate reviews.

There is a policy that is much like this case where TER offers VIP status for posting reviews.

You have exercised your right to express and opinion and that’s all, no argument or further discussion required.

This is becoming tiring and boring. You think that you (with the three reviews) are the only person that has integrity in the industry.
