I like my lights on though!

I've noticed that the last few providers I've seen keep their rooms very dark, is that cause they might be a little self-conscious about their looks or is it cause they'd rather not see what the guys look like?

Sets the mood and MOST EVERYONE looks good in the dark or in very low light.

I turn on all the lights. The providers don't complain at all. Makes the session more intense with the lights on.

Most providers will do this when they are having a herpes outbreak and dot want clients to see their sores

could mean she has something to hide, or that she is trying to set a mood. I have been in brighter rooms where my mood was not sensual enough for a good session. If the lights rae too bright it might mean something might be missing from the whole experience and it might come across as 'too biz like'. Problem is there are no hard and fast rules to this stuff and nothing is ever true all the time...

Low lights or no lights has always been associated with a sexy romantic mood.  Yes, we know there isn't any real romance but it helps set the mood and after all it is a fantasy. I figure it's for the mood. I have turned on the lights sometimes. None have ever complained. I have turned them off sometimes too because that was the mood I wanted.

Wow, what an asshole comment.  Exactly how many of them have you caught doing that?  Seeing as it's your personal experience, I guess the 3 remaining skanks that aren't disease riddled should avoid you and your STDs.

One girl was scared of the dark so lights never came off.another girl keeps it real dark. I have only seen her in light a few times,i know she is shy and somewhat self conscience about how she looks, but holy shit, she is one of the most beautiful women I have ever seen...even without makeup, but she doesn't see it.

Maybe it's time to lose the weight?

Just kidding! Turning off the lights has nothing to do with what you look like. We've seen you, there's no hiding! And no, most women are not shy, this ain't our first rodeo!

I just think it's more romantic to make the room a bit darker. Not completely dark, just "mysterious" enough... If it's a daytime playdate, I close the curtains and leave a night light or two on to create the mood. But you can always ask to turn the lights on, as long as the curtains are closed and none of the neighbors can see into the room. lol

With Lights on Night vision goggles suck...LOL

Providers I've seen, some have the hotel room lit up. After the donation is out of the way, and we both undress, some will turn the lights down, After the season is over they will turn the lights back on.

Sometime if I walk in the room, and the lights are off. I'll for the lights to be turned on.

I'm guessing it's just a mood setter.

Most of the GFE providers that I've seen like to set the mood by dimming the lights or using candle light and soft music.  I've seem them all in bright lights, so I know they're not trying to hide anything.

I've also seen some pornstars and PSE providers where lighting was not an issue.  They preferred that all the lights were on ...leaving nothing for ones imagination. LOL

I will have to go back and check, but I can remember no correlation between GFE and low lights.

Some ladies like low lights, other ladies want low lights to hide something. I think that covers all the possibilities of why there would be low lights.

As others have said, it seems entirely sensible either way, though it is not my preference. Since I am paying to spend time with a beautiful woman, I want to engage all my senses, certainly including sight - I cannot appreciate her beauty in the dark.

So I have to go through a decision process when the lights are low.

Is she hiding something I would prefer not to see? If I have done my homework, this will not be the case.

If not, can I gently negotiate a little more light so I can admire her beauty? I trust the ladies I choose to see to know how to deliver a good time, so they get the benefit of the doubt on this. If the tradeoff is between full GFE and bright lights, for example, it is a tough call. But I do tend to say something like "May I have a little more light so I can fully admire your beauty?" I find flattery is a good icebreaker and way to get what I want. YMMV.

I personally love the dark in general.Not because I'm self conscious either. But I always have a little oil burner/night light on during sessions. I think turning on the overhead fan light totally kills the mood but if a guy wanted it on I would certainly oblidge him.
My mother always calls me a vampire because I like to draw the curtains during the day.It's just my thing. In my bedroom(action central) I keep the curtains drawn for security reason as my neighbors could take one look in an open window and know what is going on....NOT interested in putting on a show for free you know!

1. I enjoy creating a romantic ambiance.  I would say at least half of my gentleman callers comment positively on the mood I set and love the candles I place about the room.

2. Yes -- I *am* a little self-conscious about my looks.  Candlelight has a way of softening one's flaws.  So, candlelight makes me feel more self-confident; and as a result, I feel sexier; and as a result of THAT, I look sexier to the caller in question.

So, it seems like a win on both sides to me.  If it really bothers you, though, just gently ask her if she'd mind turning up the lights a bit.
