My friend and lover, Bobb, was involved in an accident but is doing better now. I just wanted everyone to know so you can all wish him a "happy recovery."
I feel sort of guilty as I have been telling him how great skydiving is and he did it. In fact, he loved it so much that he went up a second time -- only to hit the ground hard and dislocate his shoulder. So . . . now he's in a cast with his arm plastered straight out in front of him.
Now . . . if he had only done this to both arms, then slow dancing with him would be much easier. Sorry, hon. You know I had to slap some humor into this.
Get well soon, Bobb. Six to eight weeks in that kind of hobble may seem like a lifetime, but it'll be over soon. Ciara, dear, take good care of him--he deserves your best, as you deserve his best.
or at least land the right way. I know the real cause of the injury was you were wrestling with Ciara and you fell out of bed! LOL. See what happens when you get too rough???? Don't you know you're supposed to always play safe??? LOL.
I'm sorry you're laid up in a cast, Bob. Hopefully the six weeks will pass quickly for you.
Seriously, heal quickly. Remember you are allowed to ask for a Mercy f*** - once per nurse/shift. Doesn't mean you will get each and every one but with your primary caregiver on the other coast maybe the night shift cast nurse will cut you alittle slack. B
I'm so sorry Bobb! At least you have a really cool story to use for the rest of your life. It sure beats slipping in the shower. I'd shoehorn it into every other conversation.
Saw the Dr. today. Nothing broken just a major dislocation and rotator cuff damage. The cast/brace comes off at the end of the week then we see how much range of motion I have and determine if surgery is warranted (not to my way of thinking). If I can swing a golf club, I'll be fine.

I wish Ciara was able to "take care of me", I'm sure she would do a great job. But, alas, as she said, we live "a world apart"... so words of encouragement will have to do.

BTW, my sky diving career has ended at 4 jumps. I'm going to miss it, it was an experience unlike anything else. But I will have to be happy with more earthly pursuits of excitement. Hummm... slow dancing with Ciara, I'd could give up alot for that.
