I don't do bedspreads, so can't speak for that. At my incalls, I lay down ANOTHER thick comforter or duvet on TOP the one that cannot be washed...has to be dry cleaned. If you think it's easier to strip the entire bed to wash one sheet, think again. Your spunk can get on the MATTRESS if you use the sheet part, but I digress. At hotels, I do the very same thing...throw another sheet or blanket on top of the bedspread they have, toss that after you leave so the bed I sleep in is CLEAN.

I think it was 60 Minutes or similar show that surveyed numerous hotel rooms around the country and there was the glow of DNA ALL OVER THE PLACE, including electrical outlets, light switches, furniture tops, linens, carpets, toilet seats ...
