4 hours -- heh be careful in 3rd world countries

A friend (39 years old) was traveling in south america for business and on his way home encountered a vendor who was selling 400mg viagra.

Now my friend wasn't to careful about such things. In fact we almost lost him on a trip to east asia  to  either morphine or heroin (we were never quite sure). Anyway he popped 2 of these and got on the plane. Nice guy - wicked smart in many ways but he never met a drug he wouldn't try. Now he was drunk when he popped the pills, his erection lasted 36 hours. As he sobered up he was too embarrassed to deal with it. Being relatively young, he experienced  no long lasting damage, but he was very lucky.

Caution extends to the net where you can answer a few questions and get a script, maybe its a better idea to get your drugs from a doc who knows your history?

YMMV - but unless you are a doc or pharmacist - self prescription seems a risky deal

now they are going to put a warning label on viagra that hearing loss can occur. I suppose next if you masterbate you can go blind.

My iron has a disclaimer label warning against ironing clothes while wearing them.  So warning labels can be quite helpful.

If only wives came with warning labels, then we wouldn't have to iron women's clothes while wearing them or not.

I say leave the warning lables off. It's time to "cull the herd" !!!

...If fact you can iron them while in the shower.  Wash and press them and out the door.

Although I like the idea of the Darwin Award representing supidity.  My theory on evolution is Darwin was adopted.

...that suggests, "See your doctor if you experience an erection that lasts more than four hours"   - duh, ya think???    Actually, now that I thinkg about it, isn't that what overnight dates are for?  ;)

If I have a woody that lasts four hours, the last thing I'm thinking about is the doctor.  Of course your provider might need to.

The CNN story on this suggested that, while hearing loss caused by circulation issues is not uncommon, there have been 29 cases attributed to viagra and viagra-like drugs out of 40 million prescriptions.  Now I'm no epidemiologist, but it sounds like the chances are literally one in a million.
