but of course it was empty as usual. The chat room has been dead for a few years Melody. Back before your time on TER, chat used to be lively especially by the West Coast crowd. We used to have a lot of fun back in those days.
I went in and out of there,even w/up to 6 people there and was still nothing going on.I asked Mel a couple of questions and it was Duh!So I left bored....I gave it a last chance staying there for a couple of mins. and the only thing going on was me typing "hello...hello...hello...echo...echo... echo"in sarcasm before splitting for good.Maybe you should just stick to posting on the msgboard.
I remember when I first arrived here, I went right to the chat rooms, and there would be two or three people... within a few years, you'd have as many as 40 people and multiple conversations and even some cybersex chat it was great. Hookups and Burger Runs and even the seed for the early Meet n Greet events all started in the TER chat rooms.You're absolutely right Melody...chat used to be a pretty hip house of hookups and textual socializing.
It was a great place.. So what happened? I have my own ideas thinking that some do not play well with others and some like to control the sand box.

I think there is some confusion about TER chat. There is the chat link up top, as well as a "chat with provider" link when you go to reviews.
When I'm in the office (and not out on the road), I'll go to "chat with provider" and there will be a few ladies there. Usually they're from Vegas and New York. Every now and then, an Atlanta provider will be there...not very often. I hardly ever see anybody on the TER Chat. Over the last 3 or 4 years, the "chat with provider" has led to a couple of good, if not great, sessions. I enjoy the chat.....but it seems as if I'm one of a few. I'm sure some of the ladies consider it a waste of time. As a matter of fact, I enjoy online flirting with providers.......but only a few are real good at it. Again, I'm sure most consider it a waste of time......but I believe it's a great build up to an appointment.
TER advertised that certain providers would be available in the chat room at a specific day and time. Might generate more interest in TER and also be good pub for the provider. Just a thought.
when they completely revised the website, the chat rooms did not transition well to the new format. Plus once the sale of TER was completed, the new administration wanted to focus more on the mobile chat applications than online chat rooms.
