I have never seen a perfect woman, hence I have never given out a 10 for appearance, and doubt that I ever will. I have just recently given out my first 10 for performance.
Maybe it's just me, but I have not met the 'perfect' woman yet. They have all been great, but not perfect, which is what a 10 means to me.

My intention here is not to be disrespectful so please don't get me wrong when I explain the situation. No names are being mentioned and I'm leaving out specifics as to city, state.
I recently searched for a provider with 10's in appearance and performance. She had perfect 10's in both categories by several recent reviewers so I booked an appointment.
Well, she definitely was a 10 in performance! But I was puzzled as to why she received 10's in appearance. I would've given her an "8". She even admitted she was not in the best of shape. She had not been working out so her derriere and thighs were in need of some tightening. (again, I'm trying to be polite so I'll leave out descriptives).
I don't expect a woman to be perfect, without blemish. But I've given a few 10's for appearance for ladies who obviously made the sacrifice to work out and the results showed.
Why do some reviewers give 10's when there are obvious visual shortcomings. Giving an 8 is not a bad thing. It doesn't mean she not HOT. In fact, per TER rating, a 7 means "attractive" and 8 means "really hot."
Do some of us hobbyists feel we're insulting the ladies if we give less than 10's?
Seriously...how many women are really a "one in a lifetime"! I think that hobbyists are giving 10's away to freely, not wanting to upset the provider. Just as the original post states a 7 means "attractive" and an 8 means "really hot". I see no reason why a provider should get upset with either one.

I too have been surprised, both positively and negatively, when meeting a gal for the first time by her past scores. I'd love to say go by the pictures but those are often a year or two old as well.
What I've noticed is someone having a poor time with a provider that is normally given 8's and 9's. They will give 5 and 5. You might rate the performance just a 5, but it seems doubtful that someone repeatedly rated 8-10 in looks would suddenly be a 5. Am I making sense?
As the others said, it's so subjective, wysiwyg.
A 10 means 'once in a lifetime'. If you've given out a few of them, you either were grading too easy or you're a lucky guy.

and a lot of us will give higher scores for both appearance and performance, when we mistakenly write the review thinking of only what the lady wants to hear. Yes, the reviews are equally as important to the ladies and the hobbyists, but if they are not honest, they're no good to anyone.
Over my tenure here at TER I've noted several providers that have had otherwise flattering reviews posted; but with scores of 7 or 8. Then the reviews disappeared from their near perfect resume within days, or sometimes HOURS.
1) I think guys sometimes let the positive aspect of a genuine 10 in performance carry over into the appearance rating and in most cases it is unintentional. Afterglow inflation...lol!
2) Depending on the "rep" of the provider the guy may feel the need to inflate the grade a point or two to "fit in with the crowd". I think newer guys are more prone to this for fear of getting a bad rep (real or imagined, probably more imagined) with the ladies in his area.
I agree with you in that they aren't all 10's but that doesn't make 9,8 or even 7 an insult. I've never given a 10 on appearance...9's and 8's for the most part, especially when using the reviews on ter to screen in advance. I also had a 3 or 5 on the ocassions when I strayed from reviewed ladies and ventured into uncharted waters.
Well put. If we were all very selective about giving 10's like you it would make the reviews more credible. Honestly felt deceived by the 3 reviewers who posted 10's for both appearance and performance. I've seen that only for one other lady, Chloe Roberts, and she was a knockout and in great shape! Hope I don't run into another review where the 10s are dished out so easily.
Not reviewed. The meeting I had w/ two Florida ladies last July in NYC...yeah, that was a ten ... dinner, then the walk back to the hotel, the three os us making out in mid-town NYC, then the amazing double afterward, followed by the overnight with ATF...a night for the ages! And the best part...history may be repeating itself soon, albeit not with the same players, but at least the same ATF! After the last six months, I need it! Let me enjoy my mid-life crisis while I can!!

have seen a local lady, that they want to see again, they throw in numbers they know are too high! I have not given a 10 for looks yet...I just don't know what perfection should look like. Performance should be what counts, and I've given a couple 10's there. I saw a lady a few months ago, we had a GREAT time...I wrote a VERY good review, by anyone's standards. I got PM's, phone calls, e mails, damning me to hell, because I gave her an 8 in looks! She never read past the 8, just threw her laptop at the wall at that point! I was the ONLY guy in FL that she'd seen who gave her less than a 9....Gimme a break!!! She was nice looking, "really hot"...but NOT model material...She now hates me, won't speak at all (not that give a rat's ass) Just very childish. It's like the thread above, where guys actually have kept track of hours spent on ladies!
It's like counting beers at a party....if some one can tell me the next day, exactly how many beers they drank the night before....they obviously are either lying, or had no fun at all and that's all they had to do!!!! Get REAL People! This is for fun, and a biological need...NOT a CONTEST!!!!!
I've read, at various times on this board, where some guys have greater experiences with providers that they do in their civie relationships. That the women they can date, in the hobby, are much more attractive, and their performances are much more steamy, and with much more on the menu. So, I'm wondering if it could be, that some guys are rating in such a way as to compare a provider to other providers, which could lead to lower or more moderate scores, while others are comparing a provider to civies, leading to higher scores.

Could be. That, and looks are SO subjective... Women some guys think are smokin hot, may be merely attractive to you... Some prefer the "classic" beauty that the media and fashion industry pimp so much, I prefer "cute", and or girl next door looks. I'd rate accordingly.
Another poster brought up the subject of body type. Many men like the hardbody look that comes from plenty of exercise. Some prefer slender or petite girls, Others, including myself really like curvaceous, and fuller figured women. ( I don't mean obese- just that she has some nice soft curves and some meat on her bones) Couple that with a cutie pie face, or a "midwest farmer's daughter" face, and I'll rate high every time!
Also, fake breasts will down grade the rating every time.
