If I wanted to chase, I'd go to a dating site. Buy dinner, hope she might wanna fuck, and then hope she is good at sex.
Thankfully, I don't have NCNS happen. Rarely, I have the lady contact me and cancel. Damn I'm horny. Let's see if I can get someone here for a football game or Star Trek Discovery BBBJ.I'd chatted with a few guys here and there seems to be a lot of times where if it doesn't work out there is a sense of ok. Just saved $$$$. Not the outrage your expect. After all. You got part of the thrill of the chase. Cost you nothing.
But the world didn't end. Sure I invested some of my time looking for the right lady, contacting her and going through the screening process, getting ready, etc only to have this situation occur. Is it unprofessional, without a doubt especially if she's well established. Again, the world didn't end and I'm not going to get upset about. Life happens.
I'm certain the ladies have to contend with this problem a lot more than we do and it's more problematic for them. They invest a lot more time than we do and it costs them opportunity wise. They turned down someone else and dedicated that time that is now lost.
Just my thought on the matter.
It is a huge pain for the guy if he booked a hotel just for the date though. Short notice is very hard to fill so you are out the 150-200$ just for the room.
I do realize the provider has more outlay and loses more due to NCNS though.
Especially if the clients reference are amazing and excellent. The canceling hurts providers the most, not only are we losing an opportunity but having to cancel mean something bad just happened and we need to take care of it. Don't take it personal cause it usually not about the client. I hate having to cancel appointments but I'm a sucker for my family and if they have an emergency that needs me, they will always come first.
We all know that life happens, and cancellations are a part of that.
It's not getting the notification. That hurts in several ways: Firstly, we wonder about whether or not the gal is OK, and secondly, we wonder if we did something wrong and the gal won't tell us. Then there is the whole issue of feeling like chopped liver because for whatever reason, the gal refuses to consider our feelings and can't be bothered to even text a convenient lie like my grandmother got sick.
By coincidence, I just went through this last night. I'm at a stage where I can shrug it off, and look on the bright side that I saved a bit of money that is now freed up for something else. But it still, as it says in the Bible: sucketh.
Yup, cancel isn't the same as NCNS (which if I recall means no contact,no show.) It's people who don't let you know they are going to not show up, so you wait around until your patience wears out.
I am not saying to double book! Just have a plan B with a phone number you can either call or text if provider A cancels at the last minute and you want to satisfy your urges within the available time constraints.
And that works well in larger markets. However in some of the smaller markets there often is no plan B, especially the later it gets in the evening. If that plan B is available, it probably wasn't a good plan to begin with.
... That's why I go to AMPs and stripclubs.
I can't see anyone who put in the time and effort finding and setting up a session being relieved that she pulled a NCNS.
I get ZERO "thrill of the chase" by booking with a hooker. There is no "chase" or at least there is not supposed to be, that's why we pay them. Why in the fuck would someone want to "chase" a hooker?

So you don't feed off that adrenaline rush, the anticipation of knowing whats to come isn't a thrill? Yes we all want our "nut" and that's the end result but it's the journey that's a turn on, isn't it? So tell me you don't get antsy before meeting someone. And I'm not thinking in the whole dating scene, that's a different mind fuck...I don't do that.
We're not robots...
Ok, back to our regular schedule program..

Yeah, I get that anticipation. But, it's anticipation based on knowing I will be getting a wonderful sexual journey. Not, will I be getting any.
Isn't it great!
and the avoidance of blue balls.
I save my Adrenalin for zipping past speed traps.
Agreed in fact I hate the build up or anxiety... and resent when I have to go through the stress for a NCNS... only happend once but really pissed me off
I try to set up dates when I travel and I've had several of my plans A and B, turn to shit for a number of reasons. So you search the TER ads and hope for the best. My plan C has worked out pretty damn good for me at times.
I'm pretty sure I saw that on a fortune cookie ... at a Mexican restaurant one time.

I'm never happy about NCNS, but it used to happen a lot more in the old days, before review sites. I had an ATF back then, but I also saw various other providers on a one-time basis. When a one-timer would NCNS me, I would just get back on the phone and call some other ad. On a weekend night, it might be hours before I finally got a replacement to show up, but it was tolerable because I was relaxing at home. I always got outcall service back then.
But NCNS really stings when an ATF does it. The fact that she already knows me and still didn't think that I was even worth a cancellation call is a grave insult. My original ATF was sometimes unreliable, and I would struggle to decide if I wanted to see her that badly or if I would rather spend the money on someone random. (Remember, no review sites back then, so every new provider was a gamble.) Within the last twelve months, I got burned a couple of times by my new ATF, which is why she isn't my ATF anymore. The NCNS does sting a bit more these days, since I only get incall service now. There's the drive, and then the wait in the car/parking lot/lobby.
Had a new provider to me that had setup time like a month in advance; longest lead time in my life. I was driving to her incall when things went sideways. Left her a voicemail on an app she only uses for texting (strike 1 for me - I thought it was a call where she was only expecting a text). She got spooked as they were working in the room next to hers. She emailed me wanting to cancel as I was driving (which I was not looking at my phone - strike 2).
Sat in the parking lot, trying to communicate which we kept using different mediums. Important fact - I expected to call her where she only expected text/email. Strike 3. Important lesson for me - read the details.
She ultimately called me - which was really important to smooth things over. Made me feel like (true or not) that it was not about me, even suggested she would make it up to me in the future. I emailed her later to thank her for the call. It was that important. Told her that she made the right call, if she was going to be nervous the entire time it was going to be less than enjoyable for both of us. Was I disappointed - yes. Without the call back, I would have been really angry. Of course, have not heard from her since. But still huge credit to her and will likely to try again when she comes back to town
To providers - communicating was the key here.
To clients - be patient, in this case it was not about me
A true NCNS is defined by a "lack of communication" not a "mix up in communication"
No matter how you look at it, it becomes a waste of time if you're like me and prepare in advance for a meet.
Have had a couple of NCNS so far and did learn after my first NCNS to have a backup plan.
Recently had one NCNS and contacted agency and got set up quickly. Did take a while to get to location from where I was and was an inconvenience but hey, at least the little guy got what he needed.
And who was the loser at the end of the day? Certainly not me..
If a provider NCNS's on me I saved a bunch of money on playing. I can always find another provider and play another day.
When they NCNS on you, all you save are some milk and diapers. Hardly a "bunch of money" lol
