There is nothing funny about this situation. While I have not had to get the implant, there are other things I have had to do to offset ED, and I not embarrassed to say so.

Listen to the ladies responding here for the truth on what matters. Maybe you have an ATF that you're comfortable with and can speak with her about it...or not, and just let her work her magic.
...doctor give you any expectations as to the post-op size? Did he perform a pre-op measurement test by injecting your penis with alprostadil and measuring the stretched penis to determine the size of the implanted penis.
You sound resigned to your present condition. I suggest you get a second opinion, regardless if your doctor is "one of the best in the country." A good lawyer will send you to another doctor to see if your doctor botched the procedure and to see if it can be corrected to your satisfaction.
I've looked into the legal avenues, but there's not much hope. For one, the damages aren't bad enough to bring a judgement high enough to interest most attorneys. Second, malpractice suits are very, very hard to win. Juries like doctors, and there's a "white wall of silence" with doctors similar to the "blue wall of silence" with cops. Doctors don't rat on each other. I've run into that many times before.
The doctor was not specific about how much length was lost. My guess is that he's been coached by the hospital's attorneys very well.
The implant surgeons in the US are considered to be better than in other countries, and there's a Dr. in New York City--Dr. Francois Eid--who's considered to be the best in the US, meaning the best in the world. He will tell patients within a quarter inch how much length they will lose, if any. I'm going to contact him to see if he can redo this surgery. It's very possible insurance will pay for a complete revision, as there were other mistakes made.
