END OF MESSAGE

Wanted to correct a spelling error in my last post.  In the past you had 4 hours to edit your own posts before they are locked in.  That seems to have gone away.

Bottom line: make real sure you want to post what you are posting before you click.

Editing gave us a chance to retract a post that should never have existed...

Let the wars begin?

I don't know if it's still four hours, but you can most definitely edit your post for a period of hours.

All you have to do is click on your post, something most of us no longer do when simply reading posts with the new format, but by actually clicking on your post and opening it, it will give you a drop down menu of "actions" one of those "actions" is to "edit post"

I just checked on a post of mine that is about 3 hours old and I can still edit that post, I also checked on a post from yesterday and I can not edit that one. So while I can not say for certain that the window is four hours, it is definitely at least three hours long for sure.

Absolutely right. I can't edit one from just under six hours ago, so I'm going to guess it's still four hours. Because why would they change that.

Because there is at least one person here as dumb as he is.

I doubt anyone else is as dumb as EuroTool.

You probably  just didn't know how to find the "edit" button under "actions." The edit button is not where it used to be, but it definitely still exists. I'm also pretty sure the window is still 4 hours.

In fact since your OP here is only 2 hours old, you could delete it by editing it, and make this whole thread go away.
