Please read #6 and #6a:

When you read this, you will probably slam your fist on your table, and bark out loud,  "THANK YOU!!"  Or, you'll probably just smile, and cheer just as loudly!

Well, excuuuuse me!  Why don't you just have me shot for that gross, negligent, heinous error, Uhhhgg?!

Well it might be political but also it shows an opinion that most of us in this site have. and Mustanger was just trying to show that. a good view is a good view whether its political or passionate.

Okay - Please provide your location for reference.

JUST A JOKE. But you get the idea. Respect the Board structure, okay? P&R, dude.

Nice article...Chi drops her mic, walks out gracefully, smiles, turns around and says "Amen, somebody finally said it"

for a 'General' hobbying discussion board.

It took me all of 6 seconds to just read these two FAQ's.  It is quite relevant to the hobby in general.  Lighten up dude...

Linking to a political platform is by definition a political post. Which if you look back only a short distance generally ignites an immediate fire storm. I happen to agree with the sentiments that she linked to, but this is not the forum to initiate any discussion on that topic. Its political base makes it inappropriate here and appropriate for the P&R board.

If we seem hard assed about this please consider that most of us prefer to engage in politics at our convenience. The P&R board exists to facilitate those discussion without it dominating the other boards.

A better choice would have been to post it on the P&R board and post a link to that here.

The P&R board exists for a reason. Those subjects elicit a variety of emotional responses that sometimes are not suitable for "polite company" asking someone to discuss such subjects with the "gloves on" is an effort in futility

I also  found the sentiments expressed on the link to largely mirror my own, but here is still not the place for such posts.

the original post asked you to ONLY read 2 very specific FAQs amongst a much longer list.  I get your disdain for getting beseiged by political discussions in a general forum especially when TER has provided us with a political discussion board.  However sometimes topics are very much intertwined and cross more than one specific board subject matter.  On this very board there are often very relevant general discussions that span topics that could be categorized as info about/for newbies, porn star related, TER suggestions, legal and humor.  All of these topics have specific boards but again some discussions cross more than one topic area.

In this case while the overwhelming content of the supplied link is political in nature, the poster explicitly asked readers to view two items that were specifically identified.  These two items IMO clearly touch bondaries outside of pure politics and in fact represent the very essence of TER and it's participants.  I find it quite difficult to understand how anyone who limited their view of the link to just those two items to feel as if they were exposed to subject matter that is not the crux of this entire site.
If someone elected to read beyond what mustang asked then they did so against the poster's purpose of the thread.
