This is not talking about the rubber or silicone dolls of today but lifelike robots that even GaGambler would enjoy. I most likely won't still be around to "enjoy" this because if I am even still alive I'm pretty sure my parts won't be working. But then again there will probably be new technology for me too.

Watch the movie Ex Machina. It would be great if artificial life like females were like this.

IBM has machines that can read X-rays and make diagnoses accurate and quickly.
We will be able to program computers to do the basic research needed for successful law suits.
Few scientifically trained people will be needed to plans and analyze computer performed scientific studies.
I understand most architecture would be child's play for the right computers.
By the same token, the two largest drug stores chains have bought up most of their competitors.
There will soon be three american owned airlines. New regulations are forcing most of the smaller banks out of business.
All physicians will soon be working for large companies that own hospitals, nursing homes, physicians etc.
The only question is: Aside from he top 1/2 of 1% of the population that owns all this stuff, who will be able to pay for any of it?
As we used to joke in the various Medical Schools on whose faculty I was: This would be a great place without the patients and the students. The large companies run by the very few are working towards places without workers or competition.

Talk about great fun.

But seriously ladies and germs....

Talk of replacement of man/woman by machine has been a constant theme of social and sci-fi literature for over 200 years, and yet the vast majority still find they have to trudge off to work everyday to make more and more junk to keep the economy going.

Myself, I'm holding out for a holodeck a la Star Trek

I'll be dead....damn being a boomer sucks....too young to enjoy the male domination of the 60's and too old to enjoy the sexual advancements of technology.
