There are some statements that are silly, but still resonate with many.

I was just looking over a listing of excellent 40+ providers who are highly selective and very much in demand.

Yes, if a woman has few conversational skills or simply does not like the lifestyle then sure.  She should leave as soon
as she acquires the money she needs.

But for a lady who:

* speaks well
* have wisdom
* have good taste
* non clock watcher
* perhaps good massage
* kind soul
* enjoy male company

Such ladies can easily spend a lifetime in this business.

We should make a better effort at grooming providers for longevity rather than a short term stint.

In the future I envision an environment where providers practice the lifestyle similar to hobbyists, part time and on the right terms.

Just a thought...

That they honestly think of themselves as having all of the attributes you laid out.

But many times they don't...and have also lost any looks they may have once had.

The real problem is that they don't have an exit strategy...hence are in this whether they want to be or not.  And eventually it wears thin.

Or haven't you noticed the hookers that post here...even those that don't have reviews listed.  Those hookers, in many instances, hate the biz...hate men..and it shows in their posts.

meeting mature men who respect escorts and are comfortable w/ the fact they pay to see me. If my clients were disrespectful, hated escorts and insecure or resentful that they p4p, then I'd have to reconsider. I'm lucky tho b/c I have a real life corporate job & can do this part-time, so it never gets old. It's thrilling & fun meeting mature men. I think a good # of ladies feel the same way.

If the shoe fits...wear it  LOL

Yeppers...some of these hookers hate being called out.

And yet they keep on coming back.

Think they like the attention?

Maybe work a tad harder at this...

And pay your fucking obligations to the United States!

Cut the shit out as far as your "corporate job"...it's as lame as the fake review threads on here!

Are there women in this business that should not be, or are wildly unsuited (for whatever reason), or are  ONLY doing this for the money, or... don't have other options; they cannot see a better way to make the kind of income they need (to raise their children...as one example)?

Are there women who plan to do this on a short-term basis, make as much money as they can, and get out as quickly as possible. And, then find getting out is not as easy as they first thought?

Sure.

Are there providers who take every shortcut they can find? Yep.

But these kinds of things can be said about any other profession. Some people have more integrity than others. Some people are willing to undercut others for their own gain--and think nothing of it in the process. Some people are more committed to a particular line of work that others. Different people have different value systems. Different people find different things more (or less important). No different than any other part of life.

Not every “hooker” is out to get you.

Many providers are making a conscious, educated choice about being involved in sex work; they enjoy what they do, they operate with integrity, they offer consistently good 'service'; maybe they even find meaning in their work. And, they will continue for as long as 'they want to'.

And, why shouldn’t they? If/when they no longer have clients---well, I suppose they will deal with that.

That said, I also think it’s a bit of a stretch to suggest that hobbyist have the ability to “groom” providers for longevity. Every person makes his/her own choices, regardless of someone else's intentions for them. Semantics perhaps. But good luck with that idea...lol

Should I ever desire to make myself truly depressed, I need do nothing more than picture myself still doing this at the age of 40.

who I've known forever now. I only welcome new friends a couple times a year.
I guess if I approached this world differently or saw a lot of guys and I didn't like it, I'd think the same way as you.

edit: added "and I didn't like it"

since I read Death of a Salesman. But hard to imagine anyone would ever want to be Willy Loman.

If 40 is your cut-off, then 40 is your cut-off. So hopefully you exit before 40 (or before you want to commit suicide---like Willy?).

But, I see no reason to impose an arbitrary expiration date on sexuality (even the professional kind)

My point being, everyone is going to have their own perspective on this. Some might say 40. Some might say 25. Some might say never. And, hey, I don’t see anyone giving men a hard time about being openly sexual into their golden years.

Why should women be expected to behave any differently?

Why not rock-it through the retirement home?...lol....Hell, if you want to, and you can, why not? I'm sure there are plenty of elderly gentlemen who would like to be able to interact with a woman who shares, at least some, connection to his own age demographic. And still appreciates the concept of paying her to 'go away' :)

My issue isn't age, it's ambition.  My sexuality will be with me for a lifetime. But at some point in the not too distant future, I will cease using it as a commodity in favor of other pursuits. I don't presume to judge the choices of others - just those I make for myself.

For me, this is just an awesome version of my dating life. I have plans to do other things and I'm acting on them, but I certainly wouldn't mind doing this for a while or at the same time.

I believe this is true of ANY professional regardless of occupation. It would be stupid not to plan for retirement in some way before it is too late. If you have children, your actions don't just affect you, but them as well.

It is a FACT that the older and uglier we get, the less money we can command in this business. Don't believe me...compare rates. I know in 10 years from now, I will not be able to command the rate I do, which is why I won't be here. We also have to work harder as we age, and again, get ugly lol. That means offering MORE services to try and keep up with the hot, young, thangs that are entering the business.

I predicted 5-7 years is what I would invest as a provider, and that looks to be about right. Have less than 2 years to go. This is not a business you can stay in forever like with other professions. Sure, guys see many mature ladies (40s and early 50s), but how many 70 year old providers do you see around, and how much could they charge?

It is what it is. People who piss away money thinking it will keep coming, are deluded and usually the ones "stuck" providing long after they have gotten tired of it. When is it time to quit? When it is no longer enjoyable, or worth the effort. Sorry, but if I ever have to offer gfe with msog, for less than a premium, I will cease to do it. I might go the no sex route with just massage, but I would never stick around and have to depend on bottom feeders because I am too old to command a rate that is worth it.

I am with you, but I think that is only because we started out younger, so we have been here a while. It is one thing to enter this business 'at 40' but another to enter at 20, and still be here by 40. If you have not saved enough money in 20 years, to retire from this business, you're not doing it right lol. I am not talking about women who have a career already and do this on the side, but those who truly have nothing else to fall back on. That would very well be a depressing thought.

If the goal is to be able to get money from a guy, then she has to be good-looking.  And that fades with age.

While I obviously believe that girls who have great personalities and souls will always beat out the same girl without them, in the end, the primary driver behind whether we pay for sex is her appearance.

I won't say physical attractiveness is irrelevant---but, for me (and I don't think I'm alone in this), physical attractiveness (at least not the culturally dominant version) is definitely not at the top of my list.

Honesty, integrity, intelligence, respect, intuitiveness, play-fullness, work ethic, even sharing similar perspectives rate way higher. Physical attractiveness is great. But, I only find that entertaining and engaging up to a point (a very short one).

A woman can be drop dead and gorgeous. But, if she doesn't bring something more to the table, her great tits are never gonna make-up the difference for me.

The girl at the bar could be perfect for you as a match but if she isn't attractive enough, are you ever gonna find out?

I'm just saying that if you're not attractive enough in this business, the work won't come.  And no amount of goodwill that you have built up over the years with good reviews is gonna offset the fact that business is gonna slow down.

Maybe if there were more clients like you, that would be different.

Personality and connection absolutely make for the most important things, ultimately.  But as looks fade, so does my willingness to want to pay for sex with you.
