Well Hello My Fellow Dogs!

It has been way to long but in the past few months I. Have been checked up and down inside and out and it is about over thankfully!
My surgery on Sept. 5th went very well and the Arachnoid Cyst was removed successfully after doing the double Laminectomy to get to that sucker!  Who would of thought  that a cyst in your spinal cord could cause all those problems and due to this being so rare multiple doctors missed this and said it was a herniated disc.  This  could of been my life!  Well you know me!  I told a few to shove things up their @ss's and if course without my help!  Lol  Because I know my body and know I had to keep searching.  I finally found the right doctor and had it removed immediately!  My blood pressure is now back to normal and not erratic.  There was some other crazy things happening as well that went back to normal also.  I have previous MRI's  and this cyst was growing in my spine for years so when I tell you that if you feel something is wrong and your doctors think you are crazy keep fighting and tell them to F off if they are not listening!  You only have YOU fighting for yourself!  And if I would of sat back and been passive I would of ended up in a wheelchair for the rest of my life with an adult diaper!  There are so many Doctors out there that assume you are making things up!  You are a hypochondriac, you are seeking drugs etc.. That they do not care nor do they do their jobs anymore!  Sorry guys that are in this field but YES out of  about 10 doctors including a well known hospital in Nashville that missed this I would  of ended up in a wheelchair or dead!  So STOP stereotyping your patients and patients become more aggressive because it is your life and if I would of not fought for myself and fired doctors until I found the solution I would of left my almost 2 year old without a mother!

Ok sorry about the rant but I needed to get that out and maybe it will save someone's life or a doctor will look more closely at their patients instead of assuming!

Now after surgery I still had pain in my lumbar area and their will be possible surgery their as well!  But as of right now I am getting epidural injections every two weeks so will see how that goes.  So far I have had my first one and will receive my second end of this month!  So hopefully this will postpone another surgery!

I have been tested for everything I am sure even the Indonesian butt fly disease!  And Negative for any and everything except  some issues which are are neurological.  OKAY OKAY I forgot I excluded the Psych tests but do you guys really want to know?  Lmao.  Still getting checked for Neurological issues I have a slight abnormal thing on some tests EEG, and ENG I think so doing more bloodwork to see what is up!  Believe it or not My MRI of my brain is normal!  Lmao. It must of been a beginner on that one!  Lol. So seriously though they do not think that iI have MS as I have no lesions on my brain.  I still have to do an MRI of my cervical spine and of my implants as well.

LADIES of increased importance to you!  I am getting checked for leaks in my implants in which they have to do a special test not a mammogram!  I go in next week for this.  There has been a recall on Mentor Gel implants for any of you that have them please get checked.  I will try and post a link later.  Symptoms of silicone poisoning mimic MS symptoms so if you know a friend or relative that has been diagnosed with MS and have implants please let them know they need to have this checked also just to make sure.  It is a lot easier to remove the implant and feel better!  Also in the meantime here is a website with some info:

With that being said I am doing a lot of bloodwork that is being sent off to special labs as a lot of doctors do not believe in Silicone poisoning and the labs are not aware of the special tests!  My Neurologist knows about it but I have the best!  She did not know the test numbers but I gave them to her so I will be tested fully for that.  It is amazing that this National recall of these implants in which I was in a study for (I actually got them before the public could in 2006) they lost 79% of the patients that they were supposedly following.  Imagine my surprise since I was sick and looking all this up that my surgeon who I have been to many times since 2006 never told me about the recall!  AGAIN YOU and only YOU can advocate for your health!  I am waiting for these results to come back in to proceed further.

If anyone needs the tests to get done e-mail me ladies and I will send you the info.  Your doctor will have to have them shipped to the testing lavas Quest and the other lab does not test for Silicone they do for Silicon which is totally different!

That being said it looks like I will be out to play after Valentines Day!  Please take it easy on me my hubby said I am like a virgin again.   Lol

 
Ladies here is some information to get you started and like I said my Surgeon never told me about the recall and I was part of his study they conveniently lost info for apparently.  He damn sure took my money last year and every year before so how can they lose me!

Everyone please remember that Doctors are just people.  They make mistakes at their jobs just like everyone else.  So to echo Geminis statement if something doesn't feel right and you don't get proper treatment - get another opinion/doctor, etc.

Two people in my life are MDs and the stories would shock you.  First at the top of the list.

If you ever go to an ER and the Doctor seems sleep deprived.  THEN HE/SHE IS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The ER is prime training ground for the residents and they work the SH-- out of them.  All kinds of mistakes are missed everyday.  DO NOT BE AFRAID TO ASK QUESTIONS OR ASK FOR ANOTHER DOCTOR.  AND MAKE SURE YOU FOLLOW UP WITH A REGULAR DOCTOR - NOT IN AN ER.

If you ever had any kind of surgery where something was put inside of you.  Do a google alert for (insert product recall here).  Why?  Due to stupid lack of regulation in this country it is easier/cheaper to put in thousands of implants/hips/etc. and then get sued and pay out a fraction of what the company made in terms of revenue.

Why?  The insurance companies will cover the cost of the recall.  And even after they pay out millions they will still make a profit (a big one).  

Believe me when I tell you if you know the inner workings of insurance in this country you would think they Mafia ran the damn American insurance industry.  

Gemini, I would call a malpractice attorney in your area.  It sounds as if you have a viable lawsuit.  In any case the doctors, hospitals may pay a nice fee just to get rid of you (I mean that in a nice way).

what sounds like an emotionally draining ride with miles still to go. Praise you for having the strength to keep fighting, & finally get the answers to start your healing process.
Thanks so much for having the courage to share, I don't have implants but I'm sure there's alot of ladies out there who also haven't heard of the recall, & probably have no clue such complications could ever arise.

Quoting a doctor I once had for about a year or more, who I saw every 3 weeks who never ever cured me but ended up putting me on 8 different medications that in actuality were for the side effects of the 1st medication which she said she was using to treat what she said I had IBS (which in reality, the 1st medication caused the IBS). After a yr, she finally ran a test (wasn't the one I actually needed), afterwards she exclaimed to me "You just cost the insurance company a $1000.00!".  Really? Why was I paying for insurance, since the doctor had no interest in curing me?
