...My concept of an ATF is a current ATF & over the years I have considered several, certainly not exclusive relationships just the best at the time, the one's I would repeat with, & so far everyone of them has retired or I would still be seeing them.
So if we rephrase your question to address why "current favorites" fall out of favor I would have to say it's a combination of things, usually based in the fact that I have a short attention span and I get bored easily. I don't have ATF's for a reason, these are "paid relationships" or are by their nature fleeting at best.
Over time, things and people change. Like any relationship..no different really. And of course, people do retire and personal situations otherwise change.
Also I would add, if a provider ever becomes demanding, entitled or even possessive.
Then it might be time to find another lady.

I'm on the fence right now about seeing my ATF. She used to come to my city every other month or so with the agency she was with... I have seen her nearly every time she has been in town for the past 3 plus years. Sometimes a few times each visit she made. Now she has not been here in a long time, about 8 months. I have been itching to see her. She has also gone independent since she was here last and raised her rates 30% since I saw her last. She just arrived in town and we have been texting a bit this week and she has let me know I am subject to the new rate since she is now on her own and has to take care of 100% of the business herself and needs more than her cut of the agency rate. While I don't really have a problem with her upping her rate or subjecting me to it, she is now exceeded what I normally budget. That combined with the fact that we enjoy each others company and have become friends, when I see her I know we will spend the first half hour of my time catching up. It just has started to happen that we roll around in bed together and play & talk for 30 minutes before the action really starts. Then the action part of the session turns out only being 20 minutes and starts winding down. She never hurries me out the door and we always spend at least another 15 minutes cuddling and talking afterward and getting cleaned up and dressed. So I end up getting about 75 minutes for the 60 minute rate, but really only 20 minutes of the 75 is hard action. I do really enjoy the catching up, playfulness and cuddling both before and after but the new rate and the lack of action time make me wonder if I would also enjoy seeing someone else for not only a lower rate but also receiving more action time. If we went back to romping on each other for the first 40 minutes right when I walked in the door like it used to be I would not be on the fence at all. I do enjoy the warm up catch up, it just ends up eating way too much time! Jump me when I walk in the door, fuck me silly for 40 minutes and we can catch up and cuddle later after I am sexually satisfied. If she feels she needs to turn me out at the 60 minute mark so be it, if she is enjoying the play and cuddling too and lets it run on afterward that's cool too. I understand if she needs me to go because she has another client or plans afterward, no problem. The balance of action and catch up are not like they used to be, and while I really enjoy catching up it's not MY first priority when I see her, particularly not at her new rate.
There is a wonderful provider that I see several times a year. We got into the "catch up " habit a little too much in our sessions, so I changed things up.

OP is looking for constructive advice.
1) She gets comfortable and let's the fantasy 'lapse' even for a few seconds. Your job, yes job, is to provide me a service - a fantasy. Let that slip and make me feel like a paying customer, then I'm gone. Basically, let your true disdain for clients come through.
2) Similar to #1 above, it becomes mechanical and a script. 'Niceties' become formalities, and its slam-bam-thank-you ma'am and hand me my cash and get out of here attitude. Doesn't have to be a lot, just a whiff of that and I'm gone.
3) Variety is the spice of life. One can get tired of watching Casablanca.
4) Provider gets too at ease. While familiarity is nice, I'm still a paying customer, put some effort into it. You don't get an award for participation. Not putting much effort into the session; make-up, clothes, clean condo/apartment/hotel room.
5) Sloppy business practices; lateness, changing fees (no grandfather clause), ending session early (even just a few minutes. If you think about it a $600 an hour session is $10 a minute. So you feel like we're "done" with 4 minutes to go, that's $40 bucks. So, yes, some guys are sensitive about getting the full hour).
6) Change in appearance. Your'e my ATF for a reason, change your hair from blonde to brunette, and I don't like it, then I'm gone. Maybe it works, maybe it doesn't. If it doesn't I'm moving on. One provider I liked had some tasteful tattoos, but then she went tattoo crazy and had some major work done - not a fan.
I'm not saying these are all deal killers, just what comes to mind of when I've bailed in the past. And no, I won't tell you why I left, I'll just ghost you.
