He's just someone who's curious, as I'm sure a lot of folks are. There have been a ton of way dumber questions here. As far as giving that info to strangers, big deal, we are all strangers. Strangers giving info to strangers. It's not like you are giving your real name, address, social security number, and bank account info to a bunch of internet strangers.
I hear what you're saying---but IMHO I think it's prudent to keep as much "real world" stuff out of these forums as possible. And not only for the "strangers" aspect--but for any LE or Government trolling these boards. The less they know about ANYTHING, the better!!

TER has asked this very question in one of their polls in the past. 40% of the respondents answered "over 100,000." That poll was taken in the early 2000s. In a published report in 2008, TER ownership said the average TER user was "between 35 and 55 years old with a median income of $80,000".
Since you asked the question, what is your annual income? By the way that would be a better way to ask the question, since a lot of people don't get a "salary." You still would get the same snarky answers, but "annual income" is better phrasing.

Secondly, no I don't believe TER polls have a lot of validity. However neither do posts on the discussion boards. That poll response is as valid as any answer that the OP would get on this thread. By the way, you missed a zero.

AFTER deducting for taxes, all of my living expenses, maintenance of investments, other hobbies I have, and the money I spend on pussy, I finished the year with a plus $3.62, which means I did not accumulate any debt. An excellent reason to celebrate a good year!
I have not done my taxes yet, but I think I will tell the government that I made, oh, $45K for 2017.
