I see BP has put a section for a fb, twitter, instagram link.
How is this working out for you all? Some observations: -Its just a link to a blank fb twitter or instagram account about 90% of the time. -When you have a headline or text that says your name is suzy and your fb link says you’re a Lisa, I am thinking twice about seeing that person. -when you look at several ads of different girls and the all have different names and pictures but the same individually named fb or twitter link... I am probably bot clicking on that girl. What are your thoughts?I found it doesn’t really make any difference for me. I’ve been linking my twitter or tumblr since I started using it. However, I’ve noticed a decrease in the number of total bs ads because of it, which is why BP started doing it. On top of that, as you noted, fakes are just using random links to fill that requirement, as it’s mandatory in order to post an ad.
I, personally, haven’t noticed a measurable increase in contacts because of it, but then again I’ve also been trying to move my business model away from classifieds. When I do post ads, I no longer put a phone number and just say go to my website, which filters out most of the time wasters.
So I’m unsure if it’s had a measurable change in the amount of trash ads...
From what I've seen so far, tumbr seems to provide a better platform. I've seen one popular girl whose twitter was suspended, I'd think that facebook and instagram might be easy to get kicked out of as well (plus, privacy settings often block the content if you're not a member.)

I use backpage, I put in random letters. I'm not a fake! I just dont participate in social media. Never cared for it. REVERSE IMAGE SEARCH people it's not that hard!! I never understood why men are shocked about fake ads. So many of them look fake and are easily proven fake just by the reverse image search.
Another word of thumb. If she looks like a Insta model and charges $80 for a qv, $100 for a half-hour and $180 for a hour she's 9 times out of 10 a fake. I mean you should've foresaw a red flag at the mention of q.v.

There are countless board post on here and elsewhere of angry idiots ranting about getting ripped off or whatever when they failed to do the most basic of safety check. It really isn't that hard to do some research. Like you said, look at the obvious first. Instagram models are not on BP for $80. Reverse image search is incredibly easy. It is built into Chrome so if you have chrome all you need to do is right click the photo and select "search google for this image."
Backpage now requires "dating" ads to include a link to social media, probably in an effort to avoid what happened to Craigslist. While an established provider can make good use of a social media account like Twitter to boost her brand, the providers posting on BP tend to be more transient, which makes the social media link requirement more of a hassle for them. That's why most of the BP providers are complying with the requirement in a very minimal way.
As a rule, I never engage a BP ad, unless I can see multiple good reviews on TER - and almost none of them have that.
I have seen the new FB and IG links and found them all to lead to either blank pages or pages of someone who is obviously not the provider.
My take, is this is an attempt to make the ad look legit - but it's a rather ineffective and frankly stupid attempt. I'm in a major metro area, Los Angeles county. So my experience is that 99.99% of BP ads are either fake/ROB's, or possibly LE fronts. That may not be the case in smaller, less populated areas where LE may have reduced resources (or not really worry as much about vice busts) and the populations tend to have less disposable cash.

The links can literally been to anything - complete waste of time on BP's part to try to make the site more restrictive. It's actually comical
So is there a way to search providers in my area on tumbler or twitter? I haven't figured it out...
In a perfect world the easy way to search would be to search #yourcity #escort but not everyone has specific key words hash tagged in their profile. You could try other #s like #gfe #yourstate #sexwork etc.

BP ads seem to be all phone numbers, no subjects or text. Every single BP ad seems to have broken links to a non working social media account..
Don't providers realize that having a bad or broken link in your ad, instantly makes any user or guy click away .
This new way of posting / viewing BP Makes it even harder to find what you like or weed out the fakes...
So my big question is.....Where else do you guys browse ads? I like BP because there are girls for $100-200 some of us cant afford $400 and up...
I also noticed the change in BP, and there are a much fewer ads too. I am also in the low-end market (below $250) now that so many providers have left both BP and CL but i have don't know where to find them. any suggestions?
Perhaps the webmasters at TER could find a way to post a few pics of providers in their reviews, if the provider chooses to furnish.

In the very beginning before I had reviews I used backpage. But I like TER. I appreciate that most guys on here understand the screening process. Back page is just going through too many changes and Im not sure I trust. it. I have a facebook account but its only to use it to look up other people. With all the recent drama wit social media I think I will keep my nefarious networking as under the radar as possible.

Ummm dude in LA, I saw multiple well reviewed ladies from TER on bp..at first I thought bait and switch, nope they were legit....so maybe 95.2 percent are bs. With EROS a little wacky right now, I suspect more ladies will give bp a try...maybe once.
I don't use backpage ads unless there is a link to TER or P411. That Twitter,Instagram link section is probably a part of their court case requirement,since they are claiming their dating section is really not about escorting.
So most people probably not gonna put their real info there. Most are fake and those ads can be anybody ...LE ..? etc.
So if you want to call those ads ,you go ahead.
BP used to be worth checking for girls "available now" if I could vet them in some other way. I used to be able to use a keyword search to narrow them down by area, and the ad titles would give me some additional info so I would know which ones to skip. Now, with just the phone number in the title, a fake media link, and any additional info only available on a photo and not searchable, it's completely useless to me.
