You do realize that whatever hooker(s) you were directing this at didn't take a dime out of your pocket...right?  Nope...guys seek out specific types of gals to see.  Many here profess to be above the hookers...and that's laughable on a hooker discussion board.  Many profess not to see tall, short, fat, skinny, old, young and so on johns.  Whatever...it's their prerogative.

But prostitution has been around since the beginning of man (and woman).  It's not going away..and those that delve into it have their own reasons.  Some like it for the sex..some for the money..some for the thrill.  Again..to each their own.

Wow, that sure is alot of bitterness. I got through most of the first paragraph of your rant.

I started escorting as fantasy fulfillment. Get over it. There is nothing wrong with escorting for love of what you do rather than a need to make ends meet. To be honest, if you are escorting only because you have to as opposed to want to, I feel bad for you. This occupation is far too intimate and personal to be doing it just for the money.

Furthermore, NO ONE can take business away from you. Your business is all about how YOU market yourself, how you set your rate structure, and how you conduct your business.

It is not your place to judge why any woman chooses to be an escort, and it certainly isn't your place to act as though you are entitled to enter an occupation because it pays better than what you could hope to earn in a different field. If I put my degree to use, I would probably earn more than I would as an escort. I would also work longer hours, and not enjoy it nearly as much as I do escorting. You are simply going to have to live with your frustration that I, like other women, am doing this job out of choice, not necessity.

All opinions aside though, really? You really hope another woman gets busted because you are offended that she chooses to escort?? It really doesn't get any lower than that. Why don't you go all in, and wish her an STD for Christmas while you are at it?

Brie, didn't you recently say it was wrong or "racist" for hobbyists to have racial preferences?  Why is it wrong for us to know what we want, and then pay some big bucks for it?  Do you get mad at people for preferring different ice cream flavors over others?   Look, I'm not here to pile on and give you a hard time, but we all have various reasons for making the choices we make in this industry, and no one is obligated to give you an explanation or justification for it.  Believe me, I don't agree with everyone's decisions, but that's life.  There's nothing we can do about other people's decisions, so it's best to focus on making ourselves better.

With all due respect, how the fuck would you know what a girl's background is, or what motivates her to do what she does?  You can judge all you want from your vantage point, but the truth is that you know as little about others as they do about you.

It's a free country, and it's a capitalistic one.  It's a free market, which means that anyone who wants to do something can try to do it.  Neither you nor anyone else has the right to put up unreasonable barriers to entry because you think that you are somehow ENTITLED to it.  Are you saying that there is a standard by which escorts should ge judged?  That if you come from a certain socioeconomic background, that you shouldn't be allowed to do it?

The market is a free one.  The market alone decides whether a girl will be able to get what she is asking.  Who the fuck are you to judge that you or anyone else is more entitled to work as an escort compared to someone else, just because your perception is that she has more money?

You make reference to a news story going around where there is an Olympic runner that got outed as an escort.  You have no idea why she did what she did other than what is being circulated in the media.  You don't know her struggles with depression, or how the escorting actually played a role in her dealing with or coping with depression.  You don't know anything about her wealth or financial condition, either.

If you think she took a job from you or someone else, then lower your rates and make yourself more competitive.  Maybe someone saw her instead of you because they like her body type.  Or they like a super-toned body.  Or maybe they don't give a shit about their escort having large breasts.

Any time you have many girls working together, the actions of one girl affect the livelihood and safety of the others.  Who's to say that another girl who wasn't as high-profile was doing something else that might affect the other girls working for the agency?  You just don't know.  Yes, of course, the agency that she worked for is now under pressure, and that puts pressure on the girls who also work for the agency by giving them and the agency unwanted press and attention.  But if you believe the media, then you should also blame the loose-lipped clients for opening their mouths and spreading what should have been confidential information shared between provider and client.  Where is the blame there?

Then you go into some diatribe about STDs and risky activity.  I won't even go there.  That's a whole different topic, and you should direct that at those who are practice those things.

You paint with a broad brush.  For every escort like you, there are lots of other types of escorts that fulfill other stereotypes that you could paint with other broad brushstrokes.

Maybe you should get off the soapbox and pay attention to your own shit, and stop worrying about others.

But I can definitely see why women from any class and standing in society would want to join this industry. it's very fun, lucrative, empowering, as well as gives you the wonderful opportunity to start your own business with little to no start up money involved.

Because of that, I don't really understand why anybody "famous" would get into it unless of course they were a porn star on their way out the door. I personally think there can be enough room for everybody if us women are smart in our marketing, client retention, as well as performance during an appointment.
