Entertaining Questions for Clients and Providers

Even though written responses left on the board have, to this point, been rare...
Through PMs, emails and face-to-face, I routinely get consistent, energetic reaction to my “TER blog questions”; especially, the more entertaining, light-hearted hobby-focused questions.
So, I’m opening up this thread, and in it I’m just going to ask entertaining, light-hearted hobby-focused questions; and please, leave an answer on occasion.
To be clear, THE QUESTIONS ARE FOR BOTH CLIENTS and PROVIDERS; I really hope folks of both persuasions might start leaving more written answers on a regular basis, even if they’re just short, sweet and to the point.
I may or may not stay with this format, but to begin with it will look like this...
I’m just going to ask the question and not immediately post my answer, so as to better encourage others to share their answers; and make sure that the actual question is better displayed.
I’ll post a New Question twice a week, every week... on Wednesday evenings and on Saturday evenings.
Here’s hoping that this is fun and positive for everyone; these are the good old days my friends; let’s have fun, appreciate each other, practice gratitude and LAUGH!
Eastbound & Down,
Bandit Rex

I should have mentioned this before, but I would love it if others would jump in and throw out questions, and if anyone does, I’ll pace the posting of the next question accordingly.
So, here’s the first question (and BTW, I’ll count this as my “Saturday Question”)...
WHAT’S A SONG THAT REMINDS YOU OF A FAVORITE PROVIDER OR CLIENT?

Number One is EASY... Etta James’ “Tell Momma” reminds me so much of my ATF Candy, it is such an incredibly sexy, yearning song, if you don’t know it, take a listen.
But what’s HARD is limiting it to only one, in fact, for me, it’s impossible, so...
Ed Sheeran’s “Perfect” (but the duo with Beyonce) reminds me of Jenni; Rhianna’s “Only Girl in the World” reminds me of Mia; Fergilicious & MILF Money remind me of Kel (because we both have such a big crush on Fergie, lmao); anything by Chris Isaak reminds me of Torii and Lover by Taylor Swift reminds me of dear Sara.
Given what a boring, old man I am, these ladies have obviously updated my musical sensibilities; there isn’t a single song by the Beatles, Led Zeppelin, AC/DC or Rolling Stones on the entire list (but then, that’s a different question).
Bandit

Hey, I’m thrilled to see more posting going on here on the Tennessee Board, wooh-hoo! I have no interest in being one of only 3 posters, LOL.

Since its Memorial Day, I imagine more folks than normal are going to be looking at the Board; so, I thought I would post a different question for everyone to think about (and maybe, hopefully reply to)...

WHAT IS A MEANINGFUL OR HUMOROUS COMPLIMENT A PROVIDER OR CLIENT HAS PAID YOU?

Compliments of all kinds are appreciated, but I adore when someone praises my writing, tells me I have a beautiful website and even mentions my marketing skills.

Unlike having hazel eyes or long legs, these are things I actually put work into so it feels special when someone recognizes my efforts.  :-)

I’ve often been told by clients that I have “baby birthing hips.” 🤣🤣

WHAT IS A MEANINGFUL OR HUMOROUS COMPLIMENT A PROVIDER OR CLIENT HAS PAID YOU?
I have three different provider-friends who are originally from Eastern Europe, I love their accents and I love their broken English, both are very alluring in all three ladies.
Two of them are big readers, I never see them that a book is not on the bedside table. So, even though they didn’t come over here until their early 20s, I’m always amazed at the amount of American History they know & understand (because they are so well-read).
Which leads me to one of the more meaningful compliments I have ever received from a provider; and, while it is incredibly unrealistic, I’ll still take it and never forget it! One of my Eastern European friends said this...
“You know your President JFK? He was very much a ladies’ man, I have read many books about him. YOU LOOK LIKE JFK, and you have, uh... obsessions and skills like him too, no?”
I’ll take that compliment all day long!
Bandit

A new question for the week...
IN RETROSPECT, CLIENT OR PROVIDER, DO YOU LIKE YOUR “HANDLE” (aka, “STAGE NAME”)?

I don’t have much of an entertaining response here. I do like my handle. What I really want to do is list off some of the crazier handles and stage names I’ve seen over the years; but discretion being the better part of valor… I’ll refrain.
But LMAO, we have all seen some crazy ones.
However, I will throw out my vote for a great one… Vanessa Glides. A really nice balance of normal AND over-the-top, all at the same time; well played Vanessa, well played!
BanditRex

Couldn’t stop thinking about you and finally figured my way around the board threads. Awww shucks. You’re just the best. I’m going to make sure to get you a Dr Pepper.

Hey-Hey! I'm actually getting some response!
Thank you Debra... for so many things ;)
Here's the Weekend Question...
WHEN WAS THE FIRST TIME YOU HEARD THE TERM “THE HOBBY”?
WERE YOU ALREADY A PART OF THE HOBBY (brother or provider) BEFORE YOU KNEW THE TERM?

I definitely did not know the term until after I got involved. So here is a question for folks, how did you learn about the hobby?  About 12 years ago  I heard 2 guys talking at work about gfe and I asked what they were talking about. They explained gfe and backpage and so I started doing research on the subject and learned a lot!

Oh goodness, I'm not quite certain but I believe it was the first time I watched the movie Gone With The Wind.  I was quite young but I recall asking my mom about the character Belle Watling and.... I was fascinated.

That was probably the beginning of my crush on sex work, which has yet to fade.  ;-)

I love how this is evolving, thanks to all who are participating! Great answer from Debra! There's no way my answer is nearly as alluring as hers (and why would it be, I'm no where near as alluring as she is).
I'm going to answer the question in this format...
WHEN WAS THE FIRST TIME YOU HEARD THE TERM “THE HOBBY”?
WERE YOU ALREADY A PART OF THE HOBBY BEFORE YOU KNEW THE TERM?
I’ve been a Hobbyist since 1979, and truthfully, I didn’t hear the term Hobby or Hobbyist widely used to describe our little dance until the late 1990s.
Prior to that, if someone described an individual as a Hobbyist, I would have thought that he was into model rockets or radio controlled airplanes, LOL.
If you have read many of my posts, you know that I was introduced to the Hobby by my Papaw. Both he and my father were active Hobbyists, and YES, that was known to me from a very, very young age (many years before I was actually initiated into the family tradition).
My Papaw referred to himself as a Lothario and my father referred to himself as a Womanizer. However, far more than I heard either one of those terms, I heard my mother and my grandmother refer to both of them as whore-mongers (sorry to use ugly language, but it’s a realistic part of 40 years in the Hobby).
Oddly enough, it was none-the-less my father who I first heard use the word hobby in reference to The Hobby. My dad taught me to play chess at a young age (6 or 7) and we played all the time for almost a decade.
When I was about 9, as we were playing a game of chess, he casually said... “You know, chess is often referred to as the game of kings, and it’s the world’s second oldest hobby; if you know what I mean.” I knew what he meant, LMAO.
I'll get another question up in a few days.
Bandit Rex

A new question for the weekend...
WHO ARE A FEW PROVIDERS YOU THINK HAVE A GREAT TWITTER?
I’m not a Social Media guy, in fact, I'm quite the opposite, I’m just a boring old man; I don’t even have a Twitter account; none-the-less even I can easily think of three that are awesome...
All three have great imagery and...
One is delightfully upbeat and gratitude-focused, just like the girl!
One is sexy-as-hell, just like the girl! And...
One is a winsome mix of funny, reflective and, uh... boobilicious! Just like the girl!
So...
WHO ARE A FEW PROVIDERS YOU THINK HAVE A GREAT TWITTER?

My first Twitter poster to come to mind is probably one of those you are speaking of.  She is a Delight-ful woman, sexy as hell and always taking the girls out and about!

So, I’ll limit my actual answer to my two favorite Twitters…
@Tanya_Delight: A winsome mix of sexy, funny and reflective, just like the girl!
AND
@MiaLamourNYC: Delightfully upbeat, boho and gratitude-focused, just like the girl!
Both Twitters are also full of great imagery, which is always evolving.
The Hobby exhausts me sometimes, I get tired of all the bickering back and forth, none of which actually involves me, but I get a lot of the residue splashed up on me.
I get tired of aggressive ass-hole Clients and I get tired of Providers who are bitter at one Client but spewing their anger everywhere; it is all so exhausting… watching all of this zero-sum-game non-sense… but Tanya and Mia (and their Twitters) they are vessels of light.
Thank you dear ladies, thank you.
BanditRex

I always look forward to Tanya’s daily Twitter post!  It is always uplifting😃

A new question…
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE ICE-BREAKER SCENARIO and/or WHAT ARE SOME IMPRESSIVE ICE-BREAKER SET-UPS YOU HAVE SEEN and/or WHAT ARE SOME FUNNY ICE-BREAKER STORIES YOU HAVE EXPERIENCED?
As examples…
If I’m meeting someone for the first time I love it when the in-call has a couch or love seat or oversized chair, so we can just plop down and talk & laugh for 15 minutes or more.
I once had a Provider put out a full Charcuterie Board and some high quality Bourbon, as a backdrop for our get-to-know-you time. Even though I don’t personally drink, I was genuinely impressed AND I ate too much, way too much, LOL) and…
I can’t leave out my Buck-Wild Country-Girls, I have lost count of the number of times one of them has texted 20 minutes prior and said “Hey hun, can you bring a bottle of Fireball?” LMAO.
So…
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE ICE-BREAKER SCENARIO and/or WHAT ARE SOME IMPRESSIVE ICE-BREAKER SET-UPS YOU HAVE SEEN and/or WHAT ARE SOME FUNNY ICE-BREAKER STORIES YOU HAVE EXPERIENCED?

A new question...
WHAT IS A GREAT LOOKING TATTOO OR TATTOOS THAT YOU HAVE SEEN ON A PROVIDER IF YOU ARE A GUY; OR ON A CLIENT OR ANOTHER PROVIDER IF YOU ARE A PROVIDER?
Both client and provider alike, we have all seen a lot of tattoos; probably too many, correct?
But if you are like me, once in a blue moon you see a great one; what makes them great always varies, but I know a great one when I see one.
What about you...
WHAT IS A GREAT LOOKING TATTOO OR TATTOOS THAT YOU HAVE SEEN ON A PROVIDER IF YOU ARE A GUY; OR ON A CLIENT OR ANOTHER PROVIDER IF YOU ARE A PROVIDER?

So, here’s my answer to the tattoo question…
My favorite Provider tattoo is my favorite because it is so unexpectedly enchanting.
I have a very petite friend who has an amazing tattoo on her left shoulder.
But if, before I had seen it, she had described it to me… big, very little coloration, a rose, left shoulder… I couldn’t have imagined it being so mesmerizing, but it is SO MESMERIZING!
First, the lack of interior coloration and the color chosen for the exterior lines (like a dark pewter, as opposed to a straight black) works very, very well, especially with my friends all-natural, caramel skin-color. Beyond that, the lines of the tattoo roll across her shoulder and down the top of her left arm in the most graceful manner AND, on top of all of that, the tattoo forces you look closely at it… is it a spider-web? Is it a geometric pattern? Is it a rose?
It is a rose… and it, like it’s owner, is beautiful and enchanting.

New Question…
A FAVORITE CITY TO VISIT FOR THE HOBBY?
My guess is that this is one of those questions that Providers and Clients see very differently, but that’s what makes it an interesting question.
I’ll save my #1 answer for a few days, but to get people’s mental juices flowing I’ll go ahead and say that I really love Atlanta and I really Dallas.
BTW, The title of this post is a line from a great, under-appreciated Bruce Springsteen song, This Hard Land.
But what are some of your thoughts? Please, more people, Providers and Clients, share some opinions…

So, my answer to the question WHAT'S A FAVORITE CITY TO VISIT FOR THE HOBBY?
DENVER.
I love Atlanta, I love Dallas and I love Chicago (because so many of my favorite Touring Friends are based there), but the quality of the local Providers in Denver is just amazing.
So many nice, fun, young, gorgeous, off-the-hook Providers in Denver; and so many of the ladies I just described are also sweet, delightful human beings.
Denver is, in my opinion, per capita the best Hobby city in the country.
Eastbound & Down,

NEW QUESTION...
WHAT'S A FAVORITE MOVIE ABOUT THE HOBBY?
It doesn't matter if it's serious or lighthearted, positive or negative.
I know from personal experience asking this question, people are all over the place with their answers, which makes this the best kind of question, correct?
As an example, one of my most serious-minded regular Providers loves The Best Little Whorehouse In Texas more than any other movie about the Hobby, and I would have thought she would have hated it. So...
WHAT'S A FAVORITE MOVIE ABOUT THE HOBBY?

Bandit

Well first movie that came to mind was Pretty Woman!

MY FAVORITE MOVIE ABOUT THE HOBBY…
The first movie about the Hobby that I saw after I began seeing Providers was Risky Business; so, it’s probably my favorite.
A close second, for deeply personal reasons, is Leaving Las Vegas.
I also love the original Breathless (1960) and Breakfast at Tiffany’s.
Bandit Rex

Oh I forgot about Risky Business. Definitely a favorite of mine.

New Question…
ARE DOUBLES “BIG FUN” or “TOO MUCH TO MANAGE”?
If you read any of my posts, you know what my answer is going to be, LMAO. But I know from talking to Brothers and Providers alike, not everyone actually loves Doubles. In fact, I’d be surprised if more than one-third of Providers and Clients genuinely love Duos. So, I’m curious, what do you think...
ARE DOUBLES “BIG FUN” or “TOO MUCH TO MANAGE”?

Doubles are MUCH FUN if you have the right ladies!  If there isn’t a connection between the 2 then you might as well just see them separately in my opinion. Don’t get me wrong, being naked with 2 women is great, but being naked with 2 women who are really into each other as well as me is the best thing ever and I have been in both situations. Oh and BRex, how about Logan!!  I definitely need to see her again!

Logan was just as wonderful as they come Joe; if I lived in Atlanta I would see her every week!

well, you already know that I LOVE them also!! ;) but I'm going to answer anyway: definitely big fun. I have met 4/6 of my Denver friends from being introduced to them in a duo session by a client! connection is essential, but I don't think that connection needs to be established between the ladies beforehand by any means. it does require some thought though.. beyond the 'these two would be so hot together' type of thought LOL, but taking each ladies personality into consideration to ensure mutual fun for all, which, BRex - you are insanely good at. I have only had one duo session with a lady I had never met that did not end in mutual fun for all :( she decided to give the client a partial refund 20 minutes into it and head out.

Relative to the question...
ARE DOUBLES “BIG FUN” or “TOO MUCH TO MANAGE”?
My answer is going to surprise absolutely no one!
In my opinion, based on my experiences and my temperament, Duos are BIG FUN! It is rare that I don’t have at least 2, if not 3 Doubles every single month.
Before I go any further, I want to reassure everyone that I love Frank Sinatra, in fact it is because I admire him so much that I’m getting ready to say what I’m getting ready to say.
Every time I have a Duo, the 17-year-old boy in my head (who was a big Frank Sinatra fan) thinks...
“HELL YEAH! Suck on that Frank Sinatra, I KNOW you had a lot of Duos, but I know that I have had more Doubles in the last 40 years than you ever had!” And that my friends is a glorious thought!
Just yesterday I had a Duo with my one-true-ATF Candy Curves and another of my MOST, MOST favorite Touring Providers, Mia L ‘Amour; and HEAVEN OPENED WIDE!
I swear to God, Frank Sinatra never had a Double with such beautiful, sexy women!
I’ll try and get a Review up in a few days; but long-story-short, it was just about as perfect as an ugly old man like myself could ask for!
However, I do completely understand why some guys feel like they are too much to manage.
Eastbound and Down,
Bandit Rex

A Reminder...
These questions are for both Clients and Providers.
So please, anyone & everyone feel free to answer.
Plus, if you are either a Provider or a Brother and you have an answer or a funny thought, but you don’t want to stick your name out in the Public Thread, just PM me with your thoughts and I’ll share your thoughts in the Thread but without mentioning your handle (or anything about you).

Okay, on to the New Question…
WHAT’S A FAVORITE SONG OR TWO ABOUT SEX?
I love music! I don’t love music as much as I love women and sex, but I seriously love music.

Sometime last year my one, true ATF Candy Curves (P411 # - P63925 / TER # - 167210) said “Bandit, what do you mean ‘you know, that ZZ Top song about sex?’ !?! Every ZZ Top ever song is about sex!" Then she continued on, “In fact, now that I think about it, just about every song ever by anyone is about sex! Except maybe the ones that are about fathers, children, pickup trucks, dogs and prison! Oh, and Eminem wrote a couple about his mom.”

LMAO, given how much I love music, love women and love sex, I was jealous that I wasn’t the one to have first said those words, because she was absolutely correct. As I think about it, way more than 50% of all popular music is, in some form or fashion, ABOUT SEX!

So hopefully (since "WHAT’S A FAVORITE SONG OR TWO ABOUT SEX?" is a question with thousands of possible answers), I will get at least a few posted or PM’d answers.

You can answer the question anyway you wish; but since I’ve already asked about favorite songs about the Hobby, I’m going to exclude songs about the Hobby from my answers.

But what do you think?
WHAT’S A FAVORITE SONG OR TWO (or ten) ABOUT SEX?

Pardon me for chasing a rabbit here, but I want to talk about something near and dear to my fucked-up heart...
The song “The House of The Rising Sun”.

I have written a lot about songs on this particular thread, so I thought this would be the best place to share my thoughts.

I think the 1964 version by The Animals is not only one of the very best songs ever recorded about the Hobby, but also one of the very best songs recorded during the entire 1960s.

Plus, this song just means a hell of a lot to me because it was literally in a House of The Rising Sun (in the warehouse district that used to surround the Atlanta rail-yards) that, in 1979, my Papaw first introduced me to the Hobby. It was in an old four-story brownstone office building that had an actual Rising Son icon in the gable-pediment above the front door.
As was the case in many such an establishment in the South, especially between the 1920s and the 1990s, there was an illegal gambling hall in the basement, a saloon-style bar on the main floor and the upper floors were a brothel.

There is a lot of misunderstanding about this song and what exactly a House of The Rising Sun really is. So, since the song and the concept mean a lot to me, I thought I would share my take on the song’s history and what exactly a House of The Rising Sun really is/was...
Concluding with my vote for the second-best version of the song, behind The Animals.

Eric Burdon was the lead singer of and the driving force behind The Animals. Lots of people think that he wrote the song and that The Animals 1964 version of the song is a definitive discussion of what exactly a House of The Rising Sun really is. That is incorrect on every level and by about three centuries.

So, here’s my take on the history:
** Do not be misled or confused, this song is ABSOLUTELY about Drinking, Gambling AND BROTHELS.
** While Eric Burdon was fundamentally responsible for how most of the version recorded by him and The Animals felt and sounded; he borrowed a good amount of the arrangement and the lyrics from Bob Dylan (in 1962, before Dylan had even released his version). Conversely, Bob Dylan borrowed a good amount his version from “Cocaine” Dave Van Ronk (in 1961, before Van Ronk had even released his version).
** But that’s not at all where this song (or the concept of a House of The Rising Sun) started.
** The song has been around since at least the 17th century.
** It is widely believed to have originated as a mash-up of two ancient English drinking songs: “Unfortunate Rake” and “She was a Rum One”.
** In particular, there is a version of the mash-up from the late 1600s that started with this line...
"If you go to down to Lowstoft... And ask for The Rising Sun... There you'll find two old whores... and Dear God, my old woman is one".
** So, as long ago as the late 1600s, this little ditty resembled (in both cadence and subject-matter) of our modern versions of the song.
** Which is to say that, more than three hundred years ago, the song was already centered around at least two of the three themes that our modern versions are centered around... Drinking and the Hobby.
** Between the late 1600s and the early 1960s, narratively speaking, the “tragic” element of the song was split between the man (the tragic drunk) and the woman (the tragic whore).
** At some point in the early 1900s both the song and the concept (a house of Gambling, Liquor and Prostitution) jumped the Atlantic and landed in the Southern United States... where actual Houses of The Rising Sun (with an actual Rising Son icon in the gable-pediment above the front door) began to become familiar; especially in Georgia, Louisiana and Texas.
** Tex Alexander began performing a version of the song in his live shows in the early 20s, before recording his seminal version in 1928; often considered to be the first “modern” version of the song.
** The song was very popular during the Great Depression, being recorded dozens of times by artists as varied as Woody Guthrie, Pete Seeger and The Lomax Family.
** By the time Leadbelly recorded his definitive Blues version in the 1940s, the song was set in New Orleans (but the “ruin” (the tragedy) was still equally spread amongst both the man and the woman.
** At some point in the early 1960s either Van Ronk, Dylan or Burdon (depending on who you believe) changed the theme and vantage-point of the narrative, from that of a drunk commiserating about his plight and the plight of his whore(s), to that of a son. In the first verses the son is commiserating about the plight of his gambling, womanizing, drunk of a father (and his poor, long-suffering mother, trying to hold their family together), before confessing, at the end of the song, that he himself had fallen victim to the ways of his father.

And then, in 1964 The Animals recorded their version, a modern-masterpiece of a song! Since 1964 dozens and dozens of additional covers have been recorded, most of which, if you ask me, are just “okay”.

However, earlier this summer I was introduced to a cover of the song by Alt-J and, in my opinion, it is the third-best version of the song ever recorded, behind The Animals and Leadbelly's versions.

I love Alt-J’s version so much because, like all of the other “great” versions recorded between 1928 and 1964, Alt-J substantially toyed around with both the arrangement, the narrative and the lyrics; while staying absolutely true to the concept; and don’t fuck with the underlying concept... it’s my life! LMAO.

So, do yourself a favor, go listen to Alt-J’s version of The House of The Rising Sun (it is on their Relaxer album); here’s a YouTube link if that helps: https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=2ahUKEwjS2v7tqobzAhWMRTABHVBDAEAQyCl6BAgCEAM&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DX1Knskoe15g&usg=AOvVaw37eWADPSyp0QavgLpW2KGT .

Eastbound & Down,
Bandit Rex

I am going to go out on a limb with this question...
But I have to post something, if for no other reason than to move my overly academic discussion of "House of the Rising Sun" out of the top spot, y'all need to post more!

I have a question on a subject that I'm genuinely seeking insight and feedback on, from Providers as much as Clients.

As many of you have heard me say...
In my opinion, the last several years have been a Golden Age for the Hobby! The ubiquitous rise of Independent Providers (both Local and Touring) has created an environment for transactional connections between consenting adults like I have never seen before... It feels like heaven is constantly opening wide! Both relationally as well as sexually.

Along with that, I have seen an unbelievable increase in the number of trusted "regulars" I see; and, as months turn into years, many of those transactional connections with trusted regulars evolve organically into deep, genuine friendships. Still transactional and not boyfriend/girlfriend, but very intimate friendships none-the-less.

So, with these deeper relationships, built on respect and forged in trust, I have begun to see and experience something that is downright intoxicating.... trusted regulars who want me to dominate them (and I don't mean kinda-sorta, I mean DOMINATE them and CONTROL them). In fact, I have had three of my good friends reveal this desire to me in the last nine months alone.
There is NO DOUBT, it is intoxicating, but it is also a little intimidating. I'm an Alpha and very comfortable with always taking the lead... but DOMINATING a woman (in a way that is sexually satisfying to both of us)? Well now, that is a different story all together.

So then, my question is this...
DO YOU RECOMMEND ANY BLOGS, PODCASTS, ARTICLES OR YOUTUBE CHANNELS FOR DOMINATING?

Like "Marni, Your Personal Wing Girl" on YouTube is great, or this article by Dan de Ram https://www.attractiongym.com/how-to-dominate-a-woman-in-bed/, which is also great; but I'm looking for more; you know... study, study, study - practice, practice, practice… that's how you WIN-WIN!

I would genuinely love some insight, feedback and/or perspective from others.

Eastbound & Down,
BanditRex

A New Question, for Clients or Providers…
Not counting after dinner pie 🤪
From your past or present, what is a most-favorite Thanksgiving dish and a least-favorite Thanksgiving dish?

Happy Thanksgiving!

A New Question…
WHAT MAKES A PERSON SEXY?
If you've read many of my posts or reviews, you already know a lot of what I like, but what about you? As always, I'm asking both Guys and Providers...
WHAT MAKES A PERSON SEXY?

For me a woman can be beautiful but not really sexy and sexy but not really beautiful. Maybe sexy is more of an attitude that I can see and a vibe that I feel. Looking up the word sexy I find that it is a sexual or aroused sensation. I have to agree with that and maybe throw in a little animal lust too!
