I am based out of Charlotte NC and looking to plan a trip to Knoxville in January. The help I need is from those familar with the city of what areas are good to stay in and what areas I might want to avoid. Any and all help would greatly be appreciated. Can't wait to make new friends in the Volunteer State.
Stay in west Knoxville at the Cedar Bluff exit, or at Turkey Creek just past there. Plenty of places to eat nereby and shopping galore if you are into that, and many, many nice hotels to choose from. Google either and you'll come up with many choices. Do not stay near downtown or the airport areas.
