Are you suggesting that those who now "like" your insipid posts (guessing you and maybe one other?) wouldn't for concerns that a "guilt by association" factor may come into play?

Frankly that would offer additional insights into who really does like who...but I can see that some who may hit YOUR "like" may not for fears outlined above.

Odd...you often claim that you have a plethora of PM's from your fan club.  Maybe they're not really your fans?

The biggest argument against it, seems to be that people would "like" a lot less posts.  
   
 I still believe the transparency would be nice. Also I could see it bring beneficial for places like the photo board. If say alady contacts guys who likes them in DC aand decide to trek over here because of some dates they were able to confirm from the "likes".  
   
  I could are it being a concern for rgise wholiked some posts anonymously in the past. The. All of a sudden it is now unveiled they "liked" some controversial posts.

So if I see someone's post who I agree with (or even, at times, a post I only approve) I like to express that I like it without making a big distracting deal out of it.

There are many arguments that start up on the GB where anyone who chimes in becomes subject to personal attracts by those opposing the POV. Expressions tantamount to, "Of course you'd say that, you are..." and the following either could be a term of dismissal like "mangina" of "bitch" or could refer to some other post on another thread.

There are posts I agree with, and hitting the "like" allows the option of agreeing with an unpopular opinion without incurring the wrath of those who disagree.
