What if I don't want my Voice to be recognized?

I've not read these particular rules. But as I'm know to do, if it's not specifically spelled out then I'm going to take as much liberty with it as I possibly can.  That means, I'll do what you were thinking - use a program to alter my voice.

There is a popular saying that I keep in the back of my mind - "It is better to ask for forgiveness than to ask for permission."

I absolutely sympathize with the desire to protect your privacy and I agree that voices can be very revealing. I hope they make allowances for this.

Do the rules allow for animated videos, like xtranormal videos (except that xtranormal no longer exists so you'd have to use some other animation program).  They also create the voice tracks.  Create the video, according to your script. Download the voice track and use that along with your real video.

As long as you wrote the script, it is still "your voice" (in the literary sense).

I was ready to make my video to submit to the Miss TER of the Month when I read in the guidelines that you have to talk in the video that you submit and later on in another video if you become Miss TER.

Is it really necessary? Can girls just add "subtitles" with no voice?

Lot of girls I know are telling me they don't wanna do a video because they don't want THEIR VOICE to be recognized. Lots of girls have a particular tone, accents, etc... They don't want a video on the internet that even if it doesn't show their face it can be recognized by the voice.

Voice recognition softwares are very popular theses days and lot of us have stalkers, family, people trying to find out your real identity, etc...

 Thoughts?

You're over-stating how good voice recognition is, and you're likely over estimating how easily you can be ID'd by your voice. If you're really worried about it, intentionally speaking a little lower than normal and using software to pitch shift up will likely be different enough that someone who knows you in the civvie world wouldn't recognise it.

I get being paranoid in this line of work is necessary, but this isn't a huge deal.
