More often than not, I want to read recent postings to threads.  The way this site is structured, you cannot see recent post to an older thread (or can you do that already?)

The current search requires you to put some text to search.  Can you just display recent posting say last 30 days, etc? You can display the list of post and if needed the user can display the entire thread like today.

Simply hit the 'search button', ensure that the 'sort results by' drop-down menu displays "Date" (the default value), enter the number of days to search in the 'day range:from' field (30 is the default value), and click the 'submit' button.

You are not required to enter text in either the 'search for' or 'author' fields.

If you are only interested in recent posts from today, follow the above intructions and type "1" in the 'day range:from' field.
