I apologize if this has been addressed before, I'd be surprised if it hasn't! I've been noticing an ongoing problem regarding fake reviews. I see it mentioned on the boards a lot. Recently, I got an email requesting an appt. Naturally, I plugged in his email here to see if he was active. The result showed 2 reviews. At that point, I let him know about the light screening required and asked him if he had any references. Much to my surprise, he told me "I've only seen one provider", and gave me her info. It was NOT one of the providers he reviewed here. I emailed the 2 providers he reviewed, and they had never heard of him. He checked out fine with the reference he gave me, and was a nice guy. Nothing bad. But, honestly I was initially nervous to still see him....it was clear he wrote the reviews to gain free VIP. WHY WHY WHY...is this a thing?! I strongly feel that Reviewers should NOT be rewarded with access to our info for simply writing fake reviews, or even real ones. TER is unwilling to remove fake reviews, which isn't cool. So...Why is ok for a client to write whatever they want? Don't you want an accurate account? If not, what's the point of this? Why is ok for someone to claim they had FS for a massage price, when FS didn't occur, and if it did...it wouldn't be at the massage rate. Now others might expect the same. In one of my reviews I learned that I gave a CBJ. Interesting...I've never done one. It would be great if we could trust the legitimacy of this site and its reviews more. A good place to start is by not giving away memberships. Or at least, verify with the provider that she has seen him. Maybe if we could set up requests and appointments through this site first, and THEN allow a review, after it's clear the provider and client have agreed to meet. It would also allow a chance to mention NCNS and repetitive cancellations fairly. Am I the only one who feels this way? I realize this site is set up for the clients, not providers..but I would think you guys would be just as upset...this is just one reason I prefer to go through P411. What makes this site any more legit than other review sites that are free? (Hint: nothing) Ok, my rant is over! Lol

As I mentioned....TER will not remove reviews, fake or not. I'm not the only provider who has complained to no avail. It's not the end of the world...just super annoying.

...not have removed one you reported but they will remove reviews. There have been incidences of them refusing to remove reviews that were clearly questionable. There doesn't appear to be any rhyme or reason for their decisions sometimes.

Agreed. I've seen fake reviews come down. I've also seen some that were obviously fake stay up after they were reported.

Reported by whom is the question. Ultimately the provider being reviewed has to provide the convincing evidence that the review is fake. Producing that evidence might not always be as simple as people assume. Until then it's largely a he/she said-she said situation.

There's another way a review can be taken down even if the provider provides no evidence herself:  if the person who submitted the review can provide no convincing evidence that he/she had a session with the provider on the date in question, the review can be taken down.  For example, if the reviewer can produce no email or PM evidence that a session happened, or was even scheduled.  

Adventage of a situation and the kindness of us.  They give a bad review and it effects us.  They give a great review with embellishments that make no sense.  Etc etc.  There needs to be a verification and appeal system for us...worth hitting admin but no guarantee of outcome.  Afterall, in fairness, the gents who had a poor experience or just saw it in the way they saw it deserve to make it known to others.  A conundrum for sure worth looking at.  

I personally feel that TER does an excellent job.  I'm sure that if someone felt that one of their reviews was bogus, then TER would look into the problem.  And if the review had several inconsistencies with other reviews, then they would probably delete it.  I know that when I posted one of my first reviews, it was not activated for a while, presumably because TER was conducting their due diligence.  I believe that TER scrutinizes the first few reviews -- for good reason.
