It can be hard to nail down what a gal charges.

Often the price info in the profile is very old, never changed since her first review which could be decades old.

Even if she does have price info on her various ad and websites, these are often all over the place.    

The reviewer should state what he paid (not including tip), whether it was incall or outcall, the length of time, and whether the service was FBSM, GFE, PSE, BD/SM, or something else.

 
This would avoid a client and escort having to have difficult discussions about these topics.   One would only have to refer to this or that review and ask if those charges still apply.

 
It would be nice if this could be in the open part of the review rather than just the VIP members.

Happens because of old ads, in or out, tour or home, Greek or no, etc. Also some have different rates based on where you found them, which sparks a whole separate conversation.  

 
There would still be situations where confusion/questions remained, but having price and length next to each review would be helpful. I’m curious what the providers think.  

 
There was a thread recently on GD about leaving unadvertised services out of reviews. Like if her ad and profile says no CIM and she does it with me, I wouldn’t put that in the review. This would be in the same category. If she offered a discount or time OTC, I’m not gonna plaster that on the internet.

TER Profiles and reviews should be informative but can never be authoritative. I think it will create a huge jumbled mess for some Profiles, especially for those who travel to many cities. ("NYC 1 hour $X; NYC 1.5 hour $Y, but $Z with "extras" but $W if you want one but not the other"; ... Tinytown, Midwest State $(X/3) 1 hour, except on Tuesdays when she rents a nice condo and wants to maximize ROI by seeing more clients for only $X/3.5 ..." ).

A client should ALWAYS check the Providers website or latest ad (Tryst, Eros, whatever) and confirm during scheduling what the prevailing rate is for the location and details they are seeking. Ads and websites can show current promos that will never appear on TER in a timely fashion. If a promo rate gets to TER a month late, and is thought to be official, if creates a problem for the Provider: "$X? TER says $Y." "That was a promo from last October when I was touring. It expired." "I WANT $Y, not $X!" "Sorry." ... "Bait and Switch. Fussy Provider wouldn't honor promo rate. Do not see." And so on.

What will happen if people start to think that TER is actually authoritative? TROUBLE! "$X??? But TER says $Y." "See my website, especially the FAQ about hagglers."

Of course you are correct that there still would be no guarantee and that TER should not be thought of as authoritative on anything, least of all cost information. I’ve said on these boards before that I basically never believe certain things I see on profiles here, cost is at the top of that list. Yes, it should always be double checked on the provider’s ads or site, of course it should and anybody with a lick of sense knows that.  

 
Personally, I’ve found the reliability of cost of service information on profiles here to be alarmingly bad. For all the reasons you laid out and more, I think TER would do well to get out of the service cost game entirely. Remove it all and let the providers speak for themselves regarding prices through their sites, ads, newsletters, PMs, carrier pigeons, mental telepathy, smoke signals, and  
love letters in the sand.

I thought the idea was to get this off the profiles and just have it in each review. So like just add duration and price paid to the top of each review with atmosphere and whatnot. Wouldn’t see any of it on the profile. I might have messed it up.  

 
Anyways, since I know they’re not going to just remove the cost stuff, do something to try to at least make it better. I think someone looking at a handful of a provider’s most recent reviews, if they’re paying attention, could get a better idea of price, if each review had a price tag and duration with it. Just have to pay attention to where and when the session happened and if there was Greek or a threesome or anything. You know, the stuff that has an effect on price.  

 
At least having it on each review there would be a chance of knowing it’s current. Would there be people stupid enough to eyeball ONE review, paying no attention to any of the session details including duration or even the date, and just assume that’s what they’ll have to pay for whatever session type they want? Of course!  

 
But those people are probably already causing problems by looking at the cost on the profiles and taking it as Gospel. It’s wrong a lot. Even when it’s right, it’s very often too vague.  

 
“Escort 1 hour $400”. That might be true for incall home city. Outcall is more. Touring is more than that. Greek is more still. (I know there’s options for all that in the drop downs but they’re not always used) Often times if that’s what the profile says, her lowest rate possible for one hour is five bills anyway.  

 
It isn’t perfect. There’s absolutely no guarantee. It just might be a bit better than what we have now. Somebody writing a review of someone they met last week or last month should know what they paid. It’s not dependent upon someone doing a PR when she changes her rates. It’s a field on each review.  

 
But like I said, if you want to avoid TER being a source of confusion or anyone thinking it’s an authority, just quit carrying this information. Stick to the stories of what happened in the session and let the buyer and seller sort out what the price is this month. That’s why I lobbied against adding the deposit or RWI. This stuff is all very fluid.  

 
I agree with everything you said. It just seems like you’re arguing for getting rid of it all. Or, what I mean is that’s the only way to eliminate all the problems you brought up. I’m not against that. Or trying to make it better. Maybe this suggestion would make it worse not better. I never was accused of being smart.

Hmm ... I'm not sure what mrfisher meant: Add / update fee info to the Sidebar (current situation) or post it within Each Review (not the current method). The info on the Sidebar comes from the "Fee Paid" entries on the Review Submission Forms. Commenting on both possibilities ...

Some Sidebars (left side, bottom, in my browser) have a single entry. Some have a laundry list of different price points. All of that info is extracted from Review Submission forms. Is it automated or do TER people do it manually? THAT can get more messy and more confusing as the list grows and adds conflicting info ("One hour $X" "One hour $Y" because it doesn't give cities with the fee).

If the suggestion is to add DISPLAYED fields to the final REVIEW itself, that's different! There is already info on the forms that needs to be changed or improved. E.g., "LOCATION" is totally ambiguous. Some enter a geographic location ("New York", "Las Vegas," ...). Others enter a real estate location ("her hotel room," "my home," ...). That info is currently displayed at the top of each review but TER needs to fix THAT, among other things. Add a new displayed field (geography AND real estate) or clarify the instructions: Location (city, NOT real estate), Place (hotel, cabin by the sea, alpine chalet, ..., NOT geographic city), etc..

Currently, the info from the review form ("Length of Service" "Fee Paid" ...) is NOT displayed in each Review. It is, I guess, consolidated and used to update info on the Sidebar. I would agree that changing (adding fields to) the DISPLAYED REVIEW (General / Basic or Juicy / VIP version) could be made to display the specifics of each encounter. Yes, fee info from a Feb 2024 Review will be a better guide to real current fees than the same info posted in a review from Feb 2014.

Because the Review Forms and the Displayed Reviews do need some revising, I can go along with the suggestion to Display info already entered into the review submission form (length of service; fee paid) with each Review. However, that's a lot of programming and I'm not sure if TER is up to it.

Sometimes I do see one where the author mentions the appointment length in the body of the review. Much more rare to see price mentioned on GFE reviews, but it’s pretty common to see on massage provider reviews.  

 
I like your idea. I’d be shocked if admin lets you say that in the general details, but you can start a trend of mentioning it in the juicy.

That just sounds like the status quo. Without prompts (a labeled data field / box), some guys will add the info and many (most) will not. Hit or miss. Also, "plain text" in the General and Juicy text boxes isn't searchable at all. (Another frequent Suggestion to make it so!)

Simpler, and without breaking anything, TER could just add text to the instructions for the Juicy section: "Please begin this section with Length of Session and Fee Paid. E.g., 2 hours, $1000. Thank you for your cooperation." But that isn't self-enforcing. Hit or miss.

Without prompting (or data fields that produce an error message if left empty), Reviews will continue to be a jumble of styles and preferences. "I don't like to be explicit; I let readers use their imagination based on my vagueness." "She asked me not give the exact details of our arrangement because others  might expect the same." "I am grandfathered in at Time x Fee. You should be so lucky!" ...

The Review Submission form already has fields for Session Length and Fee Paid. It would require more programming to display new data fields, but MAYBE they can add that to the displayed info for VIPs w/o breaking anything:
