The review database/search enhancement project is now at the top of the list. We will be sandardizing the chosses of as many fields as we can. This will enable us to greatly improve the VIP search capabilities. You will be able to search by price range after the upgrade. We need for everyone to provide their upgrade wants in this thread. We will add the features that make sense. Now is the time to get those requests in.
Hi, thanks for asking. Here are my wishes for the search form:Sort by: - Date - Alpha- Rank (Appearance)- Rank (Performance)- Rank (Overall)- Number of Reviews- PriceAge: - Allow us to type in a range, for exampe: 21-35- or have choices "Under 21", "Under 31, "Under 41", "Over 40"Add additional fields to search on:- breast size- smokes- location- height- build- hair- number of reviews (range, or over 2, over 5, over 10, over 20)- rates (one hour, for highest service being searched for)Add a field "Search for text" where we can type any keyword or phrase and you will search for all reviews that contain that text. For example, search for "GFE" or "doggie" or "pop".
It would be nice if private messaging (or a safe email address for those who want to give one) was tied in with a particular reviewer. Sometimes it would be nice to have offline conversations concerning some details in the reviews. I realize that the discussion forums exist for this point, but few people use them to meet those ends, and few of the reviewers bother to check them enough to be sufficiently responsive.
We are actually working on a messaging feature that is tied into the site and not the discussion boards. We have been going around in circles about what everyone really wants.Does every one want a system that allows members to only send messages to other members, or does everyone also want/need to send and receive mail to people outside the site?Any feedback would be great.
Here's what I would like: Something similar to the current messaging system, where you can post a private message to another member. But it also needs to notify the recipient (if he chooses to accept notification) by sending him an email saying "You have mail at TER". This actually exists today in part - when you post a reply on a discussion board, there is a box "Notify original author", but there is no way to do this when sending a private message. I understand that you can't modify the discussion board software so you will have to add something outside the boards.I suggest adding a button on the top row (where you have Home, VIP member, Discussion Boards, Reviews, etc.) called "Private Messages". Whenever a member logs in (or posts a message on a discussion board using their password), check if they have new private messages. If they do, change the color of this new "Private Messages" button to red, and/or make it blink. When entering a private message, have a checkbox "Notify recipient via email". For each member, add the option "Email notification of private messages? Yes/No". This would be in the "Personal Account Manager", next to "Email favorites updates?". In the new "private messages" section, display "You currently are(are not) allowing email notification when you receive private messages. To change this option, click here to go to the Personal Account Manager". Those are my suggestions... What are you are going around in circles about? If you post your dilema, then you can get specific feedback.mojo--modified by mojo at Tue, Dec 19, 2000, 22:28:26
I really do think the private message feature would be at the top of my list currently for improvements needed. As it was, the old/present system wasn't that bad...except that it keeps breaking down!! And still is down as far as I know. what we need is for the system to be reliable. I sent a "feedback" email about this about 5 days again & haven't received an answer--but I guess that's getting a little off-topic.IMHO the private messages should be limited to VIP members only, & a "you've got mail" notification would be an improvement...whether it's on the bar of the general discussion board or elsewhere--you could even show it on the main page after log-in. I think using a private message feature would be much better than other emails..even the "safe ones". I'm not sure about linking up with the reviews though...seems like it might be a tad easier, but not really necessary. And it seems to me if a guy was really serious about wanting more info from the reviewer the extra step of going separately to the private message board is a small effort. One additional thought...how about an indication on the reviews of whether or not the reviewer is a VIP member? You could show that by simply making the name stand out as you do on the message boards for those of us who have our name registered.Lastly...thanks for working to make the site even better--it's much improved over what it was 3-4 months ago.
OK, The programmer is currently working on a private messaging system that addresses your needs. He will finish the first past by the weekend. We will then test it out and have it up sometime next week. Thanks for the input.
With all deference to greywolf, upgrades to the review search options should be the top priority. After all, that is the core function here, isn't it? As for what to upgrade, ditto on mojo's first post - with an emphasis on the ability to search by ratings, cost, and body type.Lastly, thanks for the great site!
One person is working on Private messaging while another is working on the Database Upgrade/Search Project. The Database Upgrade/Search Project is going to take a bit of time. The first phase will be to add any new fields and standardize the responses for many of the fields that are open at this point. This will allow easy, quick searching on those fields. Once the new submission form is on-line. We will be working behind the scenes to fix all fields in the old reviews to match these responses. Once the conversion of this info is complete, we will publish a new search form to access this info and to allow complex searches. We are at step one at this point. We will have the new submission form up next week.
Unfortunately it looks like your attempt to purchase VIP membership has failed due to your card being declined. Good news is that we have several other payment options that you could try.
We thank you for your purchase!
Membership should be activated shortly. You'll receive notification!
