Request for asynchronous loading of Google Analytics

Asynchronous loading of Google Analytics can improve the loading speed of TER pages since the browser can load the Google Analytics code independently of the other content on any given page.

Would it be possible to switch from the "traditional" method of loading Google Analytics to loading it using the more current asynchronous method?  You can read about it here:

Thanks!

...it off?  I've been getting crap in my e-mail and it started when the google analytics started here. Had that e-mail for years and no issues 'til now.

If you use Firefox as your web browser, you can possibly use the "NoScript" add-on to prevent the Google Analytics code from running.  I'm not sure if NoScript is available for other browsers.  If not, there might be an equivalent add-on or extension for your web browser of choice to prevent the Google Analytics code from running.

Google Analytics uses JavaScript to gather its data, so disabling JavaScript in your web browser for this site is another possible option, if your web browser supports disabling JavaScript on a per-site basis.

On a side note, I would be surprised if the Google Analytics code had anything to do with the spam or other unwatned e-mail you've been getting since it mainly gathers info about your web browser, geographic location, etc.  In any event, I hope the above info helps.  :)

Peace...
