I've thought about this and I believe it would help both client and provider. On each provider's profile, there would be a button "Provider's comments".  The provider would register with TER and get a password.  It is not difficult to verify the provider, by using the phone number or email address in her ad.  If there is an email address in her ad and TER sends the password there, only she could possibly get it.The provider should be allowed to update her comments whenever she wishes.  She could respond to things in reviews and make corrections.  It would be another piece of information for the clients to consider.  If she wants to say "I won't do X, no matter what" I think that's fine.  She could also say "I am not accepting new clients" or "I'm out of town for a month, etc."What do people think?

I do not agree...the provider has another board to leave messages if they wish....leave the reviews alone....and let the clients make up their mind on who they want to see and what they want to write.....to many cooks in the kitchen will spoil the ?????

We have talked about this before and to this point we decided not to add this feature. If a provider has comments about her reviews, they are sent to [email protected] and the are handled. All corrections are made in either this manner, or by simply submitting a problem report. We would rather have people submit problem reports. That is why that feature is there. It would also add the tasks of tracking the ladies that are members and verifying the the comments that they submit are OK to be posted. The ability to maintain their schedule and pricing may be a good idea, but I am not sure how many providers would actually use it.Providers? Would you use the feature?

I am Ok with that...it sounds logical as long as we can still comments and ask questions.

Wouldn't this be the same thing as allowing the providers to review the hobbyists?? It seems to me there would be no difference.

I don't think they would use it that way.  I saw it mostly for corrections and clarifications.  But I understand Staff's point that this can be done via problem reports to TER.--modified by mojo at Thu, Jan 18, 2001, 02:10:41

Hi there!  I think that allowing maintenance of pricing and schedule is a great idea...but I wanted to add a comment about these reviews which are submitted.Another site has a method of emailing the reviewee to check the veracity of any review, prior to posting it.  I think that this would be an improvement over what is done here--the reviews here are not subject to any verification, unless the provider happens to check and see if she is listed in the pools of submissions.I am not sure that this is the best way to obtain accurate portrayals of the women--perhaps I am wrong, but I do know that I was reviewed in late November on another site by someone who never saw me.  It was a glowing and polite review, but unfortunately it was from the writer's mind only--he admitted this after I emailed him, but I did not find this until recently.  This means that for nearly 2 months, there was fictional information about me posted for other men to read.  How many times may this happen here?Perhaps you do have some method by which you check the truth of reviews--if so, please let on.

Due to the volume of reviews on the site, the e-mail and wait for a response this won't work. I would be impossible to manage. Plus, who would admit to a bad review? The problem report has worked to this point fairly well. The management of certain peices of an enhanced profile MAY be managable. Once we get through a couple of projects, we will look at it.Thanks for the comments.

I know of a provider who was reviewed as providing services she does not provide. (Clients arriving with flase expectations were causing a problem.) She filed a Problem Report and this resolved it.Allowing providers ro review reviews would simply allow them to deny zanything that they did not like. In many cases you can tell from the guy's attitude why he wasn't happy--and it wasn't the provider's fault.
