I don't see what point is when the poster is on unmoderated status to start with.

Often I find typos that I want to correct but I don't because it could be hours before the post goes back up and by that time, the response could be pointless.

Also, often a post gets accidently sent because any time you hit the "enter" button, it automatically sends, and it's very easy to hit that button when you meant to hit the shift key or the apostrophe which are right by the "enter" button.

Maybe reprogram things so the post only is sent when the "send" button on the screen is clicked.
