I think we need a new rating system and the ability to enter weight, evaluate face, body etc separately. I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder but everyone has a different opinion of skinny versus thin versus athletic versus baby fat. We routinely mis-use descriptions such as "petite" and "spinner".  Anyone agree? Would probably take some of the guesswork out of the equation and lead to better overall experiences (and fewer disappointments).

but I don't know that I see it working on a large scale. I think we would see more of what we already have: lots of people writing initial reviews who don't pay attention to the details and leave most everything as "don't know" then we need a problem report to get it filled in. I'd expect then TER would be getting lots of opposing opinions about stuff that's such fine details. You said it yourself: eye of the beholder. Honestly, I figure people who take the time to care about such things will put it in the reviews when reviewing and look for it in the reviews when researching, and I've often found it there.

Also, how often have you looked at a provider's profile and not been able to find some pics of her on her own site? I've seen a few who say pics only after verification, but the vast majority have pics available online. I'm just not sure I follow what you're saying when you say more details of physical description would help avoid disappointing dates. To me, the most important thing on a profile, sometimes the only important thing, is are the pics real. The real info is in the reviews.

I don't mean to sound so negative. I'd love to have what you're talking about on the profiles. It would make research faster. I'm just trying to imagine how it would work and I'm sorry but I don't see it.

Besides, if we're going to overhaul the rating system, I would rather start with the performance ratings. That's a mess.

To your other point: you're right. A lot of words, especially descriptors, are misused on an epic scale. I don't know what to do about that, but you're absolutely right.

The problem has been discussed on several boards (Newbie, General, S&P) many times. MANY real suggestions have been proposed.

1. We doubt that TER will allocate disk space and bandwidth for photos and photos are not always real.

2. The review submission form could contain a standard picture of body types, such as those used to study Waist-to-Hip ratio preferences. The reviewer would pick an actual "shape" that most closely corresponds to his hostess. I still don't know the difference between "thin" and "skinny" but I know the difference between Silhouette 1 and Silhouette 2.

3. Another common complaint is about ethnicity and what it is supposed to convey about the Provider. People have suggested revision of the lists.

4. People have suggested that the review form should include a skin or makeup color chart of some sort. Don't try to describe someone's complexion with non-specific words ("caramel" or "ivory"). Pick a number from the color chart that SHOWS her complexion.

"Slender," "Curvy" or "hourglass,' and "hefty" could be added to the selection on the pull down.

Maybe the "attitude" and "atmosphere" could have a drop down list of options. I actually try to gleen some idea of what their incall is like and how the provider comes on when you get there (sultry, playful, sensual), and it annoys me when a reviewer writes "great" without saying why/how it is great, or "really nice," or "beautiful" because those descriptions tells nothing as to what can be expected.

Other than that, check the website or the ads. Of course, providers might describe themselves as sultry or sensual when they could better be described as bubbly or cheerful, but...only so much can be expected.

NO MORE SUBJECTIVE, POORLY DEFINED ADJECTIVES! And you want to add SLENDER to thin and skinny? Good luck with THAT! How is hourglass not curvy? Good luck with THAT!  

What is hefty? A Bulgarian weight lifter or a 500 pound candidate for radical weight reduction surgery?

There are standard silhouettes that are used in psych research, in clothing design, modeling and other areas. TER just needs to put a static image of body types on the review submission template and reviewers pick the one closest to the escort they are reviewing. Call it whatever you want in the Juicy Details ("hourglass" or "big fat ass and DDD tits"), but the silhouette clarifies whatever words you want to use.

SIMPLE STANDARD PICTURES (1 through 10 or more) for body type.
SIMPLE STANDARD COLOR CHART (1 through 10 or more) for complexion, color.
SIMPLE STANDARD HAIR COLOR CHART (1 through 10 or more) for hair color.
SIMPLE STANDARD non-verbal, inarguable charts and pictures to get away from the subjective terms.

Just as the review software can easily average out ratings ("8.7, 9.3"), there can be an average or MOVING average (as she changes weight, hair color, etc over time) of the most reviews.

BODY TYPE: first 5 reviews, silhouette 6, 6, 7, 6, 6 = 6.2 avg
Body type: now, 15 reviews: 6, 6, 7, 6, 6, 6, 7, 7, 8, 7, 8, 8, 9, 8, 9 = 7.2 average, but she seems to changing to an 8-9. Average of 5 most recent = 8,8,9,8,9 = 8.4

And lots of other ways to present the data fancier than simple or moving averages. (Histogram, bar charts, etc.) Attitude and atmosphere is much more variable and subjective that appearance. Not only can the attitude vary towards client to client, but the clients read it differently. The exact same sourpuss treatment to one guy is "Sourpuss, Wouldn't talk to me. Made me put on the rubber myself. 4." becomes "Playful. Everything thru eye contact only. Tossed me a package and winked at me to put on the rubber myself. Lots of fun! 10!"  

OBJECTIVE FEATURES NEED OBJECTIVE MEASURES. CHARTS, PICTURES, Etc.

TER users need to provide feedback on the "best" chart to use as a BASIS for more objective PROFILES. You can always add juicy details. "She's a #6 body type, but has fantastic muscle tone and definition: not an ounce of fat!" and stuff like that. But the lady in the dress or under the sheets is going to look like a #6 onthe chart.  

LET'S GET MORE OBJECTIVE, PLEASE.

We need to find the best choice (or choices: front view, side view) and convince TER that a chart system could be incorporated into a new and improved Review system.

I saw a lady last month whose profile showed her as"skinny." By almost anyone's account she would be described as slender. There was no famished look about, she was very fit, a pretty well toned body. Especially her legs. She was tall and very shapely legs and a full butt. Skinny, to me, suggests flat ass and likely to get blown away in a strong wind.

And if you read it again you'll see that it says "'curvy' or 'hourglass,'" meaning one word or another.

And yes, all such words are subjective, but they all communicate something different that most people can more or less agree with.

When DOING a review of a woman I found attractive, it's annoying if the pull-down option  closest to her description has a negative connotation.

 
And to some, skinny and slender may be the opposite or otherwise impossible to distinguish.  
    Not all curvy is hourglass but all hourglass is curvy.
       
The record of posts to S&P, Newbie and General suggests that there is a lot of confusion and disagreement. But those adjectives are subjective! Skinny isn't negative to a lot of people. It isn't "scholarly" or a $10 word to use, but it's not an insult. Now what about your "hefty"? "Are you calling me fat?" "No, I called you hefty." "You're calling me fat!" "No, merely hefty." "I know you're calling me fat, and it's a big, hefty lie to deny it."

A proper set of silhouette pictures, a proper color pallet, a nice hair color chart ... If some people call silhouette #3 skinny and others call #3 slender and still other call #3 thin, WHO CARES? They have all agreed that #3 best describes the appearance of that Provider. #3 is #3 even if thin does not equal slender

I agree 100% with the silhouette idea--I thought of it myself, several years ago, but at the time didn't even realize that TER had discussion boards. So, all credit to impposter for posting the idea.

Most of this discussion is irrelevant. It doesn't matter if one person might be offended or put off by a word, while others might find it attractive. We hobbyists aren't paying for dictionaries, we're paying to enjoy the company of women. We all have preferences with regard to body type. Having a picture of a silhouette may be the very best way for members to share accurate information. Fifteen years' experience proves that trying to use words like "thin," "skinny," and "athletic" just doesn't work.

SPECIFIC EXAMPLE: I happen to like very muscular women--by which I mean the female bodybuilder type. I don't mean big-boned and chubby. I realize that I'm in a very small minority. I understand that 90%+ of TER members don't share my taste--just as I have no interest in BDSM, or TS/TV. That's fine; live and let live. But I'm really tired of TER reviewers who DON'T like muscular women creating profiles that list hefty chicks as "Very Muscular." Anyone who thinks that the standard TER build descriptions work should do a search using the "Very Muscular" type and see how many actual bodybuilders you turn up. Here's the first page of that search, as of 12/3/16; 8:00pm Pacific Time:
Ella / Jessy: Big-booty black girl. NOT muscular.
Hailey: Latina; thick thighs. NOT muscular.
Juliette: Lean, athletic blonde. NOT muscular.
LatinaAngelica: Busty. NOT muscular.

Ruby: Lean; hourglass figure. NOT muscular.

Xena: Genuine fitness build. Not a bodybuilder, but it's fair to call her muscular.

So, if I'm looking for a truly muscular woman, my odds on TER are about 3 out of 15--make it 4 out of 15 to be generous. How would the boob men feel if they found 15 providers on TER listed as DD cup, and 12 out of 15 were flat-chested?
