TER can offer a 6 month free trial.  While at the same time screening EVERYONE who is currently a member and all new members.  Date-Check offers the gents 3 months free to check them out.  There are different incentives for the ladies.  But everyone on the site is screened or referred in.  Why not do that here too?  But here on TER we can give the ladies and gents a 6 month free trial period.  Simple solution.   It would entail a lot of work on TER's end.  But in the long run, we would have a safer and more private site.

1. Get rid of the free membership for posting reviews.  Many fake reviews are being posted because of this.

2. Get rid of the extra days reward for "reporting a problem" on a provider's profile.  I had one person add my Eros ad weeks after it had expired!  Only to go back and report it again to have it removed just a few days later!  I didn't do it.  So somebody wanted a few free days.

3. Make TER safer by screening ALL members.  Thus making TER more PRIVATE!  Less chance for LE to be lurking!

4. Make ALL members PAY!  We all know that we can go purchase a no name Visa/Mastercard or American Express.  USE THEM!  If the gents can afford to P4P, they can afford to pay for VIP.  TER's rates are CHEAP.  The ladies can afford it too.  IMHO There is no excuse not to be a VIP member.

Opinions/Feedback please.... Thanks.

I spent a couple of years checking out TER before deciding to become a VIP member.  I don't think I would have unless I could have spent time checking it out for free and getting comforable with it.

There is no stinking way that I'm gonna send my personal info beyond what TER already collects, just to access the site.  For goodness sakes, think about the mechanics of what you are proposing and the risk to having that info out there for eternity.  And trust me, if LE wants to see what's going on, they will regardless of all the screening in the world.

Many many more genuine reviews are posted and problems corrected because of these incentives. With more obstacles to membership and participation, there would be a lot less contributed to the boards and the reviews in both quantity and variety. I fear TER would become a much smaller site, less useful for everyone.

I question whether the problem of fake reviews and false information would be any better. There was a website I belonged to until last fall with paid-only participation. There were a lot of good things about it, but it's reviews were a lot less credible than TER's. And LE still found a way to get in. You might have heard of this site? It was called Escorts (dot) com.

I find TER's reviews and boards indispensable in their present form. Many providers benefit greatly from them, too. They require reading with a skeptical eye. I would like to see the reviews and profiles checked much better. What could help, perhaps, is a better process and more manpower for flagging and correcting bad or fake submissions, but I'm afraid any of these four changes would be extreme overkill.

*I disagree.  There are many guys who try posting fake reviews ALL the time to avoid paying for a VIP TER Membership.  Also, my reviews on E.com and on TER were very similar.  Many of the ladies I am familiar with had consistant reviews on both sites.  I personally have had three fake reviews removed from here.  AND they were all very good reviews with high numbers.  But I knew they were fake.  So I contacted TER and had them removed.  One guy even admitted that he posted a few fake reviews so he could get a free membership!  TER is much better than E.com ever was concerning review removal.  I never got a fake one on e.com.  But if I did, I heard they would not remove any reviews for any reason.  So TER is much better to deal with in that regard too.  I think the serious hobbyists and providers would stay here if TER became a screened in, paid for site.  It would also keep us all safer.

*E.com did not screen their members in.  Their servers are also based here in the United States.  Not overseas like TER's servers are.  There is absolutely no comparison between TER and E.com.  E.com did not have discussion boards like TER has either.  My main point is if TER screened their members, and got everyone who wants to be a member to pay for VIP, it would be safer for all of us.  Anyone with a credit card could join e.com, just as they can join TER.  So LE didn't have to work hard to get in.*

*I agree.  I too find TER's reviews and boards indispensable.  I love TER.  It is an invaluable tool for my business.  I have been a VIP Member for many years.  I only make these suggestions to help make TER an even safer place for all of us to be.  Right now anyone can see it.  They cannot see the entire review if they are not a VIP member, and they cannot pm people.  But they are privy to everything else.  The fake reviews will continue to be a problem as long as TER offers free membership to the guys for writing them.  I am a provider.  There is no incentive for me to get free TER membership and I am okay with that.  I am okay with it because TER's membership dues are very reasonable.  Why TER feels the need to offer gents free access is beyond me.  I think it attracts people who are not serious hobbyists.  It also exposes all of us to people we may not want here at all.  Now with that being said, I stand behind TER.  I would highly recommend it to anyone who is in this hobby.  For me it is the number one place to be.  At the same time, even TER can improve the way things are done.  Evolution...*

there IS a key comparison between it and the site you would like TER to become, specifically change #1. Getting rid of membership credit for posting reviews would NOT get rid of fake reviews.

Also, not that is matters here nor there, but it was exceedingly easy for providers on E.com to get rid of fake reviews or any reviews they didn't like. One call to customer service, and the moderator simply deleted the reviewer's account along with every review he'd ever posted. I know, because they mistakenly deleted my account when a fave of mine called about a fake review that somebody else had posted just before mine. This occurred last fall right around the time they neutered the reviews, so it didn't bother me much. Maybe their standards were different before.

You would not be able to post on the boards using an alias.

1) Define a fake review?  Wouldn't a review that embellishes a providers performance a fake as well?
Then what would the incentive be for writing  reviews?
That would kill the purpose of reviews all together and force ladies to be more explicit in their ads on the boards.

3) What would the standard of screening be?  Work info and 2 providers?  So, what happens when TER says a guy is ok but the ladies say no?  Can he be voted off the island?  No, because he  is paying for membership so he has the RIGHT to stay because of your number 4 change.

4) By making the boards more private, typically it hurts the ladies more than helps them.  The ladies will out number the guys and very few guys will repeat.   The ladies wont get enough business and be forced to go to other boards.

TER is not perfect but for the most part, this system has been working well for the last 10 years.

Just my observations.

1)  Why wouldn't an alias be allowed?  I don't understand that.  I pay for my VIP.  But I can still use an alias.  A fake review is just that; FAKE.  This one guy give me a very nice review.  He gave me high numbers too.  But he said I answered the door in an outfit I don't even own!  Then he said we were in a room I was never in.  There were other things that I never do that were also mentioned.  THAT is a fake review.  He also reviewed another lady.  I pm'd him telling him that I would not stop until his fake review was removed.  For several days I sent him a pm everyday.  I also contacted TER and let them know it was fake and why.  This guy sent me a pm ADMITTING that he wrote the review to get free TER VIP membership.  This happens ALL the time to many other ladies.

As for what you call "embellished reviews."  They are not fake.  They are exactly what you said they are (in your opinion); embellished.  Now you are getting into different opinions.  Just because you don't think the lady is hot, doesn't mean someone else doesn't.  You may visit her and not enjoy her and another guy did enjoy her.  As long as the guy actually had a session with the lady, it is not a fake review.  i also disagree with your assessment regarding more explicit ads.  I know many guys who enjoy writing reviews. They enjoy being a part of this community.  They want to contribute to this community.  They are not looking for a free ride.  They enjoy being here and participate by writing reviews.

3.) The standard of screening can be similar to what Date-Check does.  The gents are referred in by a reputable provider.  Or they can be accepted in by being screened via their work information.  If a reputable provider and/or TER says he is okay.  Then we must accept that.  "Voted off the island?"  Well this isn't a game show. LOL  No.  He cannot be voted off.  Well, unless he is a danger to the ladies and it can be proven so.  Paying members have been banned for different reasons in the past.

4.) I don't know.  Maybe you're right here.  Maybe not.  There's only one way to find out.  Nothing is perfect in life.  These are just a few ideas I had.  TER gave us a new format to use here a while ago, and I love it.  Many people hated it when TER made the change.  I know that many still use the classic version.  Change is never easy.  But sometimes change can be good.  Once again, that being said, I love TER.  In my opinion TER is the number one place for provider's and hobbyists to find each other.  We also have the best discussion boards.

Why no alias?  Your advocating that everyone be screened and accounted for, therefore everyone will have to be accountable for their activities on the board.  Then why do you want everyone to be above board and then allow for below board activities?  Cases where the ladies posts an ad, and uses 3 alias to say how great the ladies is or a guy using several to stir up drama on the boards.  Why didn't you post this using an alias?

1) Well, reviews are fiction anyways.

3) Since I dont know anything about you or where you are, but here in California, Date Check and Room Service 2k are not widely used.  So, if screening through these companies are mandatory JUST to read the boards, then guys wont partake. Especially when they are other competing boards are not requiring that.

4)  That was not my speculation, that was fact.
I still like the version before the classic one but thats just me.

with all the advantages of TER's reputation and widespread use transferred to it, because that's what such radical changes would mean. However, I don't see how you can have both exclusivity and the catholicity (excuse the term) that makes TER what it is. I'm all in favor of a new site along the lines you describe as an alternative, but not if it means TER has to go away.

Oy!  LOL  A new site?  No thank you.  I will stick with TER.  I have heard many other people express some of the same things I have.  They are suggestions.  Simple as that.

It's merely my opinion that your changes would have that result. I don't mean to sound melodramatic. Really.

1. TER's review data base is the best because we are given incentive to write the reviews. Without VIP credit the # of posted reviews will plummet.
Many hobbyists won't go through the arduous process of submitting reviews without the incentive. Why ruin what got TER to where it is today?

2. If providers would handle their own profiles and update themselves, problem reports would not be such a necessary function. Errors are corrected via problem reports and so are services. Most providers would be grateful if some wise hobbyist fixed her profile for her and updated her ad so she may be found.

3. I wonder who would have to pay for all of the screening? Do you actually think that people will submit to screening to view a website? Will you want to screen 600,000 members?

4. Make people pay to read a board? Everyone? While I agree that paying for VIP is smart, it should never be mandatory. Some hobbyists are content with reading the ads, and some providers are happy to place their ads here. Should I have to pay to look at your website?

As you were :)
