ratings question

In the "New Reviews" section, sometimes it shows ratings as "N/A" and other times it shows different numbers. Why?

... the ones with N/A for "Ratings" have few reviews. On the first page I see a provider with one review, one with 2 reviews, and one with 3. I would venture to guess that isn't a large enough sample (for TER) to do an average which is what the ratings shown on the "New" reviews list are. You'll notice that the providers with numbers have 5 (If I remember correctly) reviews or more.

...on page 2 there are some providers that do have numbers even though they have only 1 review. So I don't know.

Then I saw your reply, so I stayed off the thread, but now I see this and it has me curious. I believe it was always at 5 reviews that they created the average and started listing the average scores. Don't know what's going on now!

I just looked at ten pages of new reviews (all countries, all cities) and all the providers with 4 or less reviews have N/A for scores.

But if I look at new reviews for Atlanta, Hawaiian Islands, or Chicago, I see ratings numbers for ladies with only 1 or 2 reviews. I didn't check any other cities, but it appears for some odd reason that the master list does not have ratings with less than 5 reviews, but if you narrow it to a city search, then they do.

If the provider has 5 or more reviews there will always be numbers there (her average).

If the provider has less than 5 reviews it will depend on how long the review has been posted.  The averages are only calculated once a day.  If the review was posted after the average was calculated the NA will be displayed.  If the calculation was performed after the review was posted there will be numbers even though she might only have 1 review.
