I was just musing a bit about the ratings system TER uses.  I'm assuming it's just a straight average.  I was looking at the national top 100--only four have more than 100 reviews, and the highest of those is #30.  If TER uses a straight average to arrive at their ratings, it would penalize both longevity and improvement of skills.  It is harder to raise your overall score when you have a high number of ratings.  It makes sense to me, statisically, that scores should be weighted--perhaps a weight of .8 for the first ten scores, and 1.2 for the most recent ten scores, or some variation of that.  Anyone out there more statistically literate than I am have any ideas on this?  Or just how fair or unfair the rating system seems to you?

...the fewer reviews a girl has, the more likely she will be on the top 100 list. The more reviews, the futher down she goes....So the rating system seems to punish the more experienced gals in a way. New girls come onto the scene, and with TENS being ultra common, she can shoot right to the top pretty easily.
I do think it would be good to take each providers current year of reviews as I think was mentioned in a thread below. I am certainly NOT the same person I was 6 years ago, so I wish those reviews did not go into my average. Im a much better, more experienced escort now. I was very GREEN back then!!:)

exactly the law of averages..most providers improve over time but will never see the true average because they were newbies..the top 10 girls watch their ratings meticulously and protect them..there have been many threads on the issue as to its being fair or unfair..they keep the amount of reviews low and are super selective on who they will see..if a guy averages 7/7 or 8/8 on his reviews..they wont book him for fear of lowering their average..if you consistently give 9's and 10's..odds are they will see you.it is simply the nature of the ter beast..ratings are extremely important to some..some could care less..as they say..to each his own..

in most cases of those who are hot and do bbbj, dfk, and are really bi. I think you have to consider the consistency of service before anything else. The more guys you see, the more chance you have of not connecting will all of them. Many women also tweak their reviews by only seeing guys who hand out 10s like candy on Halloween. Just give me the money, but rate me honestly.

I think the ratings should be compared to women with the same number of reviews. A girl with 20 reviews compared to one with 80, seems a bit off. The one with 80 has a hard time of getting that average up, when the one with 20 can jump up with only one review. I have just noticed this recently after so many shills being left to sit by providers who don't deliver nearly what most do. If a girl has over 5 reviews saying she was both rushed and businesslike, how the hell can her average be more than one who has NEVER had that said?

I agree with your premise and would raise you a "currency" detail. Many of the wonderful providers that are reviewed on TER are stuck with their initial reviewer's assessment as it relates to details. In the case of more recently arrived providers this is not an issue, some of the more established providers are stuck with what was inputted in the first review. That's not fair to provider or client and I would hope that TER can update that feature.

You are correct, which is why the top 100 ratings is a feature "for entertainment purposes only".  You need to do your homework, read some reviews, see how many reviews and how new/old they are before choosing a companion.
