If The Erotic Review truly wants to expand and grow and include BDSM reviews, it needs to change its rating system and values.
Some BDSM providers do not include sex in their service. It is about the power exchange and the giving/sharing of their skills to a client. Some BDSM providers do allow sex in their service, and there is a wide variety of their limits in this area.
Currently, the TER rating system of points is about sex acts, what do you perform, not how well you perform what you do in the "Performance" category.
A BDSM provider can have experience, take a client to an extreme Dom high in her/his absolute submission to the clients will or take client to an extreme subspace in his/her Dominance of the client, take an extreme caning or 2 - 3 enema's in an hour or any other list of stressful and extreme play and only get a 7 in her performance unless.....

Hello,
We are contacting you regarding your posted review on SubMissAnn.
We have had to alter her Performance score to reflect the services she offers.
In order to keep our performance ratings consistent, we set up the following system: An escort provider may only eligible to earn up to a 7, unless she also willing to performs the following during a session: Kisses With Tongue, Bare-Back Blow Job, Really Bi, Anal Sex, or More than One Guy. The addition of each offering will raise the score she is eligible for by one point.
As provider does not offer some of the above services, her maximum Performance score can, currently, only be 8.
Thank you for understanding.
Thank you for the support,

The problem is clearly stated in this letter. We are not "escort providers". The TER rating system compares apples with oranges. It needs to be redone to encourage BDSM providers to excel in their trade and be rated as BDSM providers.
or huge ass banner stating that no matter how excellent a BDSM provider is, she/he only gets a 7 unless she/he puts out as an escort. i'm not saying the fine escorts we have don't earn their ratings, and they work hard also, just that they don't do what we do.
i personally find this current system insulting to me and my fellow BDSM sisters and brothers.
my solution is:
Have a category that rates number of sex acts the provider gave the client.
Have an overall category that rates the clients experience of the session. In BDSM, a client might not have sex at all but be given the time of their lives exploring some buffet on the table of fetish, bondage, D/s, S & M that they crave and don't get elsewhere. How the client felt walking out the door, his energy level, his attitude, his sense of well being, whether the client felt satisfied and gratified has nothing to do with sex necessarily in BDSM.
So, a provider might give a hand job, a blow job, vag sex, rimming, etc - listed in a category by number qualification.
And the client then rates how rockin' the session was in the second category.
This might be better for the escorts also, because a Half Hearted, (i don't really want to, my mind is on the clock) Kiss with Tongue or Bare Back Blow Job is not what makes a rockin' time for the client's session.
