suggestions in the past. Why stop at AA? What about caucasian? There are all variations of color there too. What about Asians and Latinas? How about not making profiles more complicated than they have to be, and just looking at the pictures yourself? Come on man! You expect guys who can't differentiate between baby fat, heavy, athletic, and average, to distinguish between, Caramel, mocha and dark chocolate?
Put a color chart on the Review Form and require a number in the skin color field. Or, using fancier code, make the complexion field a drop-down color bar: scroll along to select the color.
Only because I do believe that there is a call for your ethnicity...I would spell it out in black and white. You might look white but you're not. I have been in Boston and asked someone who appears to be white a question only to find out they no habla. Which is fine because I do habla Español. Anyway, I will never be mistaken for anything but Irish and I'm not even 100%. I am half Swedish. Just cursed with the freckled, crayon white skin, red hair and blue eyes. My dermatologist loves me my pcp not so much. Lol
Another one of the review / Profile problems we've known about for a long time is that not everyone with dark skin is "African-American." Some are African-African, African-French, African-Brazilian and so on.
