Posts Being Pulled

DT,

Many of those posts are being pulled because they violate the forum rules in some way.

It could be any of the following reasons:

Shills
Outing private / confidential information about an user
Derogatory flames
Defamatory postings about an user

Train wrecks - The original post started out as an approved post that caused the additional postings to fall under one of the above mentioned reasons, therefore, the whole post is removed to prevent further disruption of the forum.

That's the nutshell of what I have seen in the past few months.

Having said all of that, we, all users of TER, have to respect the decisions made by TER management if and when they do pull the postings. If you don't like their decision, then take it to PM and ask them directly. Most likely you may not get a response because the answers are already posted in the forum rules.

Is it TER staff making the decisions, or is it based on something else like "report this thread" reports?  So many threads have been pulled in the last few weeks.

I do have a number of specific examples to go over, but would like go have some kind of general response before going into detail.  Does ADMIN think pulling 10% of threads is okay?  Do you have a % number that would indicate to you there is a problem?

Understand I am trying to help make the boards work better.

PM me if you wish, but I believe others are also interested.  And some may also wish to contribute to the  discussion as it progresses.

I've reported posts because dummies naming exact locations including specific apartment complex names! Yikes!
Actually they edited the posts and took out the name versus removing them entirely.  It just depends on who gets the report and how they deal with it.
