Reviews are the property of TER and are copyrighted. That makes it unlawful for you to post them on your site without TER's permission.

I would be careful too. You may be able to challenge ter copyright claims since under basic law the Author is the copyright owner. However if ter can prove by a written agreement that you assigned your copyrights to them they own the work. The problem ter will face is the legality of the agreement since most use false identities. One way around the law is to post your review on your board first establishing the date of the work. Then burden would fall on ter to prove ownership. In such a case ter would also need to show you then also received some form of compensation for transfer of an existing work because they claimed value for the work..

Still not a lawyer
But consider the term "lawfull" in an industry cloaked in secrecy

You have more than enough reviews to be given access to the Provider's board. Ask for acess, then do a search.

...the hobbyist is not putting it on his website, the provider is putting it on her site. just add to rule # 12 to stipulate that if TER doesn't want the ladies putting the actual reviews on their site (but only links)& clear it up, pretty simple doing that, than having to come on boards to expain it, then someone misses it.

that #12 is very vague. They do not specify that this is against TER policy but simply say that TER owns the reviews. I use testimonials as part of my business model, but now that we can't even show scores, it is even more valuable to me. I have seen excerpts of reviews on many escort sites and I just do not see it anywhere that this is against TER policy. Why not be able to showcase portions of great reviews to promote yourself? I myself did not write them, and I did not accept those terms, my client did.

As to SinsoftheFlesh...I have tried to email admin twice to get on the provider boards with a response saying to e-mail them my ter id and link to my reviews. After doing so I never did that. If it is on the provider boards, would you kindly post that here on this thread?

G, I understand what you are suggesting, but the whole point of putting the reviewers handles on my testimonials was so clients could follow it back to TER and verify that they were real. If I just put "Kaylani is super" from Jack, Wisconson it doesn't sound very real or credible.

The link will take you to her reviews but all the non-VIP user will see is a bunch of "VIP Only" markers where all the information should be.

Just do not copy and paste reviews from TER there.

Instead, have your reviewers submit a one liner to YOU of their session with you to post on your website. There is no rule against a reviewer submitting a testimonial there, as well as writing a separate review here. Then, direct readers to TER to learn more about what the gentleman had to say about you. Also, you can have your non-TER friends submit testimonials specifically for your website, even if they do not submit kind words of about to TER, as some guys do not like to write reviews.

Do not make this a total loss for yourself, just work around the issue and do not copy and paste anything from here…all other testimonials are non-TER owned and FAIR GAME for you to use as you please!!!

Good luck!

The juicy details of reviews are for VIP members only and can also be very graphic. When a user logs into TER they first verify they are over 18 and to view VIP they need to have have access via paying for VIP or from reviews or from problem reports. If they do not have VIP they cannot read the juicy details.

Copying the juicy details onto a site not only violates TER copyright it means the person that copied it is now stealing our copyrighted information and posting it for free on their site.

How many businesses/sites that ask you to pay for something let people take information off of their site and post it for free somewhere else?

...to theirs. That is against TER's policies, and I do not advocate breaking TER's rules.

I am not advocating anyone break TER's rules. I am advocating the provider put her testimonials page back up with other testimonials that are not found on TER, as copying and pasting from TER would be breaking the rules, and I do not advocate anyone do so.

I was threatened with having my reviews de-listed if I did not remove excerpts from my website that came directly from the general details section. I'm not stupid enough to include "juicy details" on my own website. However, I quoted portions of the general details when applicable that said things like "Stacy put me at ease right away", etc. I ALSO included a link directly to the review the excerpt came from.

However, I was told that even that was grounds to have my reviews delisted. Before deleting the links, I looked at my webtracker. In the 30 days before those excerpts were delted, TER recieved over 300 clicks FROM my site to yours. But, as requested, those links are gone now. This is also why I removed all references to TER from my website, and why I no longer pay for VIP. It just doens't make sense for me to continue promoting TER, when you won't allow me to "toot my own horn" so to speak by highlighting the reviews I have on TER. On the other hand, I also excerpt and link any reviews I recieve on other review sites. So now, all of my customers who visit my review page, about 300 a month, are seeing links to everywhere but TER. I said then that this was a bad decision on TER's part as it reduces traffic to your site, and I will say it again.

Just make sure if they are a TER member to make the small review in their own words and to not copy and paste what they might submit to TER as a review.

Yes it might be more work for the client but I don't see why a few sentences and a rating would be too much to ask after a session if you ask them for one.

I've had a few providers text me after a session (or you could follow up with an email too) with some kind and sweet words asking for a review and while I don't review all that often I wouldn't mind posting a few sentences if asked.

Be proactive with it. Even if a provider has a review section on their site I wouldn't think about posting a review there unless the provider specifically asks if I would post one.
