Suggestion and Policy

Well, I had another review rejected because I gave a provider strong marks for performance, yet she does not perform BBBJ, Bi, Anal or More than One Guy.  She does kiss me with tongue, but I have been seeing her for awhile.  I have no idea what she does with other clients.  In the rejection letter, TER said that I can only list FK if I know that she provides this service to all clients.  How would I know?

I have to say that this policy of limiting "performance" scores to a seven unless a provider is willing to perform FK, BBBJ, Bi, Anal or More than One Guy seems flawed and counter-productive for the following reasons:

1.  Why are these services given special attention?  It seems so arbitrary.  I am not a fan of anal, bi, or more than one guy, so I could care less about these activities.  Do these reflect the proclivities and preferences of the TER staff?  If so, how does that help the members?

2.  The provider search engine already allows one to search for providers that perform these activities.  If I wanted to find a BBBJ provider, I can just search for that.  Also, anyone who can read the performance score can also read the services provided and blow-by-blow reviews to find out if a given service is provided. So there is no need to bias the performance score.

3. This policy rewards riskier/kinkier behaviors.  Providers that always play safe are at a disadvantage because they will have lower scores.  Is this what TER wants to promote?

4.  The extra credit should be proportional to the risk of the behavior.  FK is surely safer than BBBJ, but both are viewed as equal in upgrading performance scores.  Imagine a provider that allows the unmentionable – BBFS – she should be eligible for a five point upgrade.  Of course, this would limit everyone else to a mere five points, and promote riskier behavior.  Again, is this what TER wants?

5. Most importantly, this policy biases the scores.  In other words, the score no longer reflects the opinion of the reviewer, only the opinion of the TER staff.

I hope this message stirs up some real discussion about an arbitrary and counter-productive policy.
Sincerely,
brex

TER claims that they can't stop using their capricious performance bias because now all the recent reviews were written with those rules.  However, this is a bogus argument.  When I first joined TER six years ago, these rules were not in place, and were only imposed a couple of years ago.  The same argument for the could have been made at that point to maintain the status quo, but it was not.  I strongly urge TER to do away with the performance scoring bias.  The reviews from the past two years will eventually become obsolete.

This argument has been offered over & over. It appears it's falling on deaf ears. As many times as this has come up in the years I've been here it' like beating a dead horse.
