In view of the fact that most of the posts on the regional boards are ISO posts, why not replace the regional ad boards with regional ISO boards? The ladies will know where to go to see posts by hobbyists advertising their interests, while sparing the rest of us from the pollution that we have no interest in reading. What say you?
The only board that the iso posts are out of control that I read is the Vegas board. I just ignore the iso posts. However, I don’t always ignore the replies. Yes, you have the usual “pick me” ladies who reply, but once in awhile a diamond in the rough replies. I actually saw a diamond in the rough after I sent her a PM.
I'm not against ISO posts per se...there are just too many of them nowadays. Vegas may be bad, but the NY board is worse. At this moment, 20 of the 25 posts on page one are ISO posts. This is typical of my home board for the past few years...it isn't caused by FOSTA/SESTA. It's so bad there that all of the FOSTA/SESTA posts have been pushed back to page 2 and beyond, and even the M&G post has to be responded to daily in order to keep it on page 1.
Prior to FOSTA/SESTA, the discussion boards had effectively become secondary ad boards in a half-ass way due to the proliferation of the ISO's, which were mostly not permitted back when the boards were locally moderated. Maybe I should suggest on the general board that ladies should just respond to the ISO's in lieu of the loss of the ad boards. Doubtful that would be well received.
