How about free VIP to prevent bloviation

If I could transfer some of my VIP days to certain posters to shut them up, I would.

Your idea, (while self serving) would do nothing but to encourage a plethora of inane drivel for which there is already an abundance of around here.

There's enough drivel on the boards already

Giving away VIP days for board participation would have the same effect as we have now with free VIP days for reviews, fake reviews. I can only image what the  boards would look like if TER adm adopted your suggestion. Many people prefer NOT to participate because they want to keep a very low profile and plenty of things to do outside of posting on TER

Hi Ter Admin, I was thinking giving VIP days for board participation would be a good incentive to get more people with fresh,  new ideas participating in the boards. Just a thought, I know you are a business and VIP days is how you make money. I feel so many more current users would participate given incentive to do so. Also the boards could desperately use new thoughts and ideas.

Honestly as someone who's been here since '05...

EVERYTHING is been brought up in one way or another.

You are entitled to your post but I'm afraid it would open up a huge can to worms with people posting just to be posting.

Besides I see good things being discussed on the GDB, along with the train wrecks. Some humorous and some good topics for thought.

Now it seems like some regional discussion boards have stated to fizzle into not much more than ISO posts, which used to be rounded up and put on the ISO Board in recent years. But again free VIP IMO only leads to problems like fake reviews, ect.

My 10 cent due to inflation.

Simply someone...anyone who will support his continued moronic posts.  Clearly he figures if more folks post (he's brought that crap up on here as well) then someone will actually find his stupidity...I guess not so stupid?

If anyone looks at the top of any page the number of users online is visible (assuming you're logged in).  Seems like (at this moment over 16k are online) most folks are here to do research only...and have NO interest in wasting time on a discussion board.

That's what TER likes to see...hits and more hits  ;)

New topics...sure  LOL   Like every conceivable topic here hasn't been done in the 15 years TER has been around  :D

It's totally not true to assert

1) There are many new posters who put up sensible comments and are welcomed.  Go back and read.
2) Even some of your posts make sense (not most) and are left alone.
Your distortion of obvious facts is part of your problem.  You lie and distort so often that, combined with your poor writing and generally moronic ideas, no wonder you catch flack.
The problem is you don't get it and never will.  No wonder you are moderated and probably always will be.
PS: There is no problem with the number of posts on the GD Board.  You are trying to fix a problem that doesn't exist.  Most people who don't post remain as lurkers because they lack self confidence or don't want to complicate their world by having a board persona.
So, again, you are clueless.  What a shock.
