It would be nice to find out if a provider has the ability to Whitelist. I believe it adds a measure of security and allows the Newbie to gain credibility.  There are many providers that don't have that ability to Whitelist and for me it provide another layer of security. It might be beneficial to have a link as to who they have whitelisted to.

The last part you suggested about seeing who they have whitelisted won't happen.
You can tell if a provider has her reviews linked if it says "Send Private Mail To Provider" at the top of her reviews page.
All providers who have their reviews linked have the ability to white list.
However, not all providers use the feature so I don't see how it's beneficial if she'll still give a reference for the client.

I think if a Provider has taken the time to be able to whitelist a hobbyist, it makes both parties credible. Personally, I rarely give individual references anymore because I have been whitelisted several times. It is pretty easy for me to book now. I feel more comfortable when booking if the provider has whitelisted other hobbyists. To me, it is a added protection from potential LE issues, particularly for providers with fewer reviews. Although the provider has the ability to whitelist doesn't mean they do.
For a newbie that could use a few whitelisting or two, that could be a determining factor in deciding who to see. It certainly was for me. I have a couple of providers that I have seen that didn't know how to know how to whitelist even though their reviews are linked. I understand that a provider may not want to look high volume. I think a simple bullet mark or check mark on the provider's profile would suffice and leave out who they whitelisted. I appreciate your feedback.

...is a VIP member of TER she can whitelist you. If she has linked her reviews to her TER handle she has the Free Limited Provider VIP. You can tell if she has the Provider VIP the way Businesses said or simply by seeing the notation "see my TER reviews" next to her handle whenever she posts on a regional ad board or discussion board.

You Can see who she has whitelisted. Go to her profile, scroll down & look at her list of reviews. Click on the reviewers name. You will be taken to a list of his reviews. Below that is his whitelist. You will see the names of the providers that whitelisted him. Keep in mind that a reviewer can choose to have his whitelist "hidden" so  you may not be able to see that particular reviewers whitelist. You can do this for each of her reviewers though. The chances that all of them have hidden their whitelist is slight.

It's not exactly what you asked for but it is possible to get an idea.

I've included the link to the info about whitelist (Which is in the Self-Help Center). Whitelist FAQ's is included.

Pretty much I understand all of what you said. I know for me it would have been helpful to know if a provider has actually whitelisted somebody versus being able to whitelist somebody. As basic as it seems, some providers have their reviews linked and still either don't know how to whitelist or just don't whitelist anybody. Also, I have been told by a provider that I have seen several times that she is not a VIP, but she still was able to whitelist me. She can read her own review but no others. I have been using the method that you suggest in the 2nd paragraph. It takes more time and thus the need to maybe make this a little easier. Thanks for you help.

...not knowing they can whitelist or how to whitelist. That's why I included the link. Many think they must have the paid VIP membership to be able to whitelist. When it comes up I point them to this link. The provider you say can read her own reviews and can whitelist has her reviews/profile linked to her handle which gives her the free limited provider VIP. There are many providers on TER that don't know how it all works. Many think of the paid VIP membership when the term VIP  is used. I simply consider a provider with her handle and profile linked as VIP.

....but I never do, unless a gentleman asks.  Like many ladies, some gentlemen prefer to remain a bit UTR.   I recently had a gentleman ask that I not give an okay on another site, as it makes him look too much like a hobbiest (please, no snide remarks).  I prefer not to have reviews, and I always appreciate when a gentleman asks, before posting one.

I have Whitelisted a few newbies, for credibility, because I go above and beyond when screening, and ladies know this.

Kelly

I do ask the lady if she wants to be reviewed and a few don't. Most ladies do though as it tends to generate business.
By the same token, being whitelisted by some top ladies seem to take the LE issue out of the picture.

She does not  even remember the guy that she white listed
And was recently ..y
You not need be white listed by each provider that you see.
