The new discussion board is narrower, because there's always the column on the left side to choose other boards, taking up space, and there's a border on the right limiting the margin. This makes most subject lines wrap around and difficult to scan. MMMV. I have a 19" monitor and the old discussion board looks MUCH better.
While I do like the look, your website is too wide. I work on a laptop 100% of the time, and even with a 15" screen, I have to resize my browser to almost a full screen size just to read the columns on the right edge. Your site used to fit within a the standard 8.5" paper width - along with 95% of all other websites - but now, it's too big.
A pain in the butt when working on a smaller display like a laptop.
