Alabama cried for a board for a while. They finally got one. It took them two months to reach page two. Check out the Kansas board. Over a year of posts on page one. Here are some other dead boards all with months of posts on the first page: Colorado, Orange county, Dallas, Tennessee, Louisiana, Seattle, Houston, Missouri, New Mexico, Portland.
We don't need another dead one. How active do you really think an Alaska board will be? Just post on the "other cities" board (which is also pretty dead, but that is your home board for now).
So, I really wish they had an Alaska section, there are wayyyy to many providers up here and so many to choose from. So many fly by nights. Guys need to know who the quality providers are around here. I feel bad when I hear about the grab and dashes or weird ads with totally fake pics. These Alaska guys work hard and need to quit with the runaround! Any suggestions?
The question is... how active will the Alaskan forum be?
My suggestion is to have TER ad a 'Pacific' region forum that would include both Hawaii, Alaska AND US Pacific territories. That might make more sense to TER to add that forum and ad board.

Each region should have it's own board. There should be no such board as "Other". How will there ever be any activity for any region or city if there is no board for it? You have to start somewhere.
I think the region idea is good. I would love to tour Alaska, but I drive on my tours.
But each state does not need it's own board. There have been many threads on this S&P board about "regional" boards and I have suggested merging boards and creating new regional boards for the areas that don't have any. You have suggested the same thing in other threads, and I have always agreed with your posts. You and I have been in agreement on that. The whole Alabama thing should have been Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana. Kansas and Missouri should be combined. (People are always posting for Kansas City, Missouri on the Kansas board anyway) Arizona and New Mexico could be combined. There should be a Northwest board that includes the dead Portland and Seattle boards as well as throwing in Montana and Idaho. But there is no reason to give every state or city their own board to add to the dead boards. You never hear me crying for a Hawaii board because I know it will be dead. It will serve no purpose to have it's own board. But they could have a Hawaii/Alaska?Guam board or something like that.
If you hadn't posted three posts in a row on the bama board, you guys would still be on page one!
